Its most likely vaper's tongue. You can get it at any point in time. I've been vaping for seven years, and I usually get it a couple times a year, probably from vaping the same flavor (flavor over-saturation) repeatedly. It helps to change up flavors from time to time. It generally goes away after a week or two on its own, but its probably different for everyone.

When I worked in a vape shop, an elderly customer who was a long time smoker would come into the shop about once a month to sample flavors. He must have had persistant vapers tongue because the only flavor that he could ever taste was red hot cinnamon. But he routinely came in every month in the hope that a new flavor might work.

So I would suggest trying a cinnamon (doesn't have to be "red hot" necessarily), menthol, or mint flavor. Those are the strongest flavors available to us.

The Dreaded Vaper’s Tongue: What is it, what causes it and how to cure it
Damn man... so he had eternal vapors tongue? Sounds like he lost his palate senses. I hope thats not my case !

The best is to just keep on vaping till the taste come back, i just got back yesterday from a 2 week vapers tongue, i have rta's, rda's, sub ohm tanks and pod's, use some times 4 different flavors a day and doesn't help. Also tried all the best 10 ways to get rid of vapers tongue and nothing helps me. You will just wake one morning and all the sudden you will taste your vape ... like most said here as long you get your nic fix everything will be ok till the flavor returns. It's not permanent it will come back.
Like i said my vapors tongue sometimes last up to 2 weeks no matter what i do, and i dont smoke smoke's at all for about a year now.
Good luck
Damn! I appreciate your feedback a lot. Brings me a lot of hope. Lots of people been saying it lasts "a few days" and its been 3 for me but no dice, so i was getting worried.

When i first read about it, i thought this vapors tongue deal (and the things are suggested to get rid of it) sounded like a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but i am certainly a believer now.

Still cant believe its a thing even though it happened to me! It makes no sense! lol

What I've heard is that it won't help to keep it in the fridge, but it won't hurt it either. But if I lived in a place as hot as yours I would keep it in the fridge.
So perhaps this isn't a 'fridge issue', but like englishmick says, due to your high outside (and inside) temps it may be worthwhile to keep your bottles in there. If I had to do that, I would go for door positioning as it's not quite as cold there rather than anywhere else in the fridge.

    Sounds like vapers tongue.

Switching juices is not a solution, switching flavours is. You say you tried a lot of different juices, but not what flavours. When it comes to flavourings, many people are just using the same stuff. When ordering slightly different desert flavours from 6 different brands you're probably getting 6 times the same predominant caramel flavour.

A fix worth trying, as mentioned above, is vaping menthol or unflavoured for a week. That always did the trick for me.

(Well, before I found out that flavourings are likely one of the harmful elements of vapour and switched to unflavoured.)

I don't know how you vape, but I always suggest exhaling some of the vapor out of your nose. Our sense of taste is closely tied to our sense of smell. So your sense of smell can help you "taste" your vape.

I do that a lot. Not always, but quite often.

    Sounds like vapers tongue.

    UPDATE 1:

Gargled with lemon 3 times today, smelled coffee as much as i could, and ate lots of salted peanuts.

Didnt help at all. No difference. I feel kinda ridiculous trying all that hahahah.

Vaping menthol flavor since i got home today. Can barely feel it. I just get that coolness/freshness in my mouth, but actual flavor? Not much, if any.

One thing i find it weird is that i cant even feel the sweet/sugar of any juice. Doesnt matter the flavor.
Id expect even if you couldnt feel the flavor of whatever it is that you are vaping, you'd at least feel the sweetness, sugar flavor, but nope.
Just something i hadnt mentioned thus far and think its quite strange.

Praying to the forces of the universe to bless me with taste bud regeneration ASAP.
Hoping time will do the trick.

Ill update again whenever i feel like theres something worth mentioning. Just leaving it here so people like myself, looking for answers can see these posts in the future

yeah. vapers tongue is what everyone says.
i've been vaping 5 months n can count the times i've tasted what i should on one hand.
i do taste some disgusting juices, but i tossed those.
that said, i have found some flavors i enjoy, but i sure don't taste what they are supposed to be.
still, i prefer this to smoking.

    Hello,
I thought I was getting vapers tongue, but It was the coil not wicking completely. Even on a new fresh coil, and filling the tank, and letting it sit. I found I would get dry burnt hits right off the bat. Even letting it sit for 1-3 hours. I found if I left the lid off, it would wick completely into the coil. The first hit was tremendous dose of flavor and not burnt. I thought I had a bad batch of factory coils. The silicone seals on the tank never leaked, and never let any juice wick either.

Hey man, thanks for your reply.

I dont think i understand what you mean though.

Im a bit confused by your message. What was the solution again? How did you fix the problem?

Also, what mod and tank were you using? The same as mine?

    Hello,
This would probably be for any tank with a flip open cap to fill your juice.

Geek Vape Alpha tank, push button and top flips off to the side, fill your tank with juice, do not close the cap, when you do close the cap, there is a seal there so juice does not spill out. That also means it does not let air in. Obviously this is not a problem after the coil wick is totally saturated. If I do not do this, I could leave the tank and new coil filled with juice for hours, and I do not get a saturated coil wick. If the coil is not saturated, ya gonna burn the coil wick area and not get a good flavor, but burnt.

The tank doesn't leak in any direction, so that means its airtight too. just sayin'

safe distance from a black hole
Hey @70olds do you mean a kind of vapor lock?
The only time I lose taste on my rta's is when I get vapor lock. Because I use TC pretty much exclusively I dont get dry hits but I do get loss of taste when vapor lock occurs. I use the term "vapor lock" only for want of a better term. I dont know what this phenomenon is called.
When I mtl vaped with the Zenith using watts mode I would simply open the cap for a brief while to equalize the pressure and saturate the coil and try and clear the vapor lock.
With TC mode the inhale becomes very pulse'y as the mod tries to deal with avoiding dry hits, the flavour drops off and the vapour production drops off. Generally a quick wick adjustment or thinning gets rid of the lock and the flavour and vapour returns. Sometimes it clears if I unscrew the cap or if I simply blow quickly and with some force into the atty.
Also, it generally only happens when I fill the atty to the top. If I half fill I am much less likely to experience this "vapour lock"

LP just giving you an example of what i do as been vaping for a long time now and have tried most things on the market in the past. Make my wife and myself e-liquid and have been doing that also for a long time.
Some say 1 type will get bland for a while but for me it does not as been vaping same e-liquid diy and only one type for years now and it still taste the same. The Mrs similar only menthol for her real cig for me.
Batches of 450ml are made at a time and never refrigerated ,the nic is in freezer and taken out in small batches only.
What do i use is joyetech mega tanks with clr coil heads and in last year have found the Innokin Zenith tank to have a slight edge vaping with the 1.6 ohm coilhead mind you it is not rebuildable like a simple clr but they last a good month in this house.
My diy is 91% pg 9%vg 6%nic and no more than 1.5% concentrated real cig flavor -ex marlboro 2pks a day over many years. Not a young male by far !

LP with you being fairly new to vaping gosh i remember those times and fun experimenting putting together simple mods from madvapes you will find what you like.
Also yes you may have vapors tongue as most if no all get it some even get the felling of when you drink a hot cup of coffee and it kinda burns the gums not severely but enough to know. Still happens to me when i vape to hard like when fishing.
Just don't go back to the cigs , personally i feel so much better and truly wish vaping was around much earlier not a spring chicken anymore but it is never too late.

    Hi everybody
    Welcome and glad you joined.
Bits of croissant followed by a mouthful of distilled water, then spit out after swishing is said to refresh the pallet. Bread absorbs flavors, saltines can be used to stimulate taste buds back to normal. Malt vinegar mouthwash it's said to clean the palate, then vape right away.
Arm & Hammer Dental Care Fluoride Toothpaste is suppose to prevent vaper mouth. (re: http://forum...................../t/toothpaste-that-can-prevent-vapors-tongue-vapors-fatigue/179186).
