Welcome to ECF! There is lots of help available here for learning about rebuilding. When I started, I watched a lot of YouTube videos and read threads here for the heads I wanted to rebuild.

That's pretty much what I've been on... I've amwatched some very informative videos on YouTube, but I'm just not quite ready. Plus, I gotta invest in the required tools to take on the task. It won't be too much longer before I jump into it. I'm on a budget for right now, so all I'm using is a KangerTech 70w box and an iStick 30w box 18th a Coen tank and an Arctic tank. I'm currently considering Fuhattan to the arsenal at the moment.

Like Debi said, lots of video and threads around. Also there are also a couple of tools that you can use to help. This is what I use Amazon.com: Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo(R) Deluxe Winder for Jewelry Making

I know there is a coil winder but for the life of me, I can't remember what it is called. It came out after I had gotten the above so I never bothered getting one.

I'm here, when I'm here
Oh My Gawd! I love that!

I already have half those things though. But Damn that is sweet!

I have all of those things and then some. Carried it around in a little ditty bag. This is by far the best coil building kit I've ever purchased.

Hi and welcome!

I was nervous about building too. I vaped for about 2 years before I tried it (granted, there weren't as many options or easily found information back then). My first coils looked like drunk caterpillars, but with time I got better. My builds still don't look as perfect as others I see, but they vape just fine.

You really don't have to spend that much to start building your own coils. I you have some drill bits from lets 1,5 to 3mm thick you can wrap around those. If you don't have these you can pick up cheap mandrel on ebay for around 2 bucks including shipping. I'd post a link but I'm not sure if links to ebay pages are allowed here.

A screwdriver with the right thickness will work to if needed be.

A vice is handy but a decent set of pliers will work almost as well with a little practice, you probably already have a pair of those somewhere. Then all you need is some wire of choice and some cotton and you can get started.

Use Steam Engine to calculate everything for you and you should be safe.

I've started building only 6 days ago but I already don't see myself buying another pre-made coil again. I'd rather spend it on tasty juice or save it up for another mod or RTA instead :)

It may seem complicated when doing the research but you just have to get your feet wet. There's really not much to it. Now getting the wicking right might be another story, haha.

Watching Zophie Vapes' vids on YT is what convinced me to jump in, check them out if the name doesn't ring a bell. She's a lot of fun to watch while getting your vape on imo.

Hi, all! I'm new to the forum. I've been gaping almost a year now, but I decided to finally take it serious in January once times for hard. Almost comfortable with jumping into rebuilding, but not quite yet. Any advice and info would be greatly appreciated. 1//
Welcome mrhotTrax, how you doing buddy?
I'm new to vaping, so I signed up and received expert help already. Look up the smok TFV4. That is the one I'm getting. It's a rebuildable tank and it comes with prebuilt coils. A quad coil, a triple coil and I think, a single coil headers. Just the thing you need to get confident in your own building experience before you get on to serious atties. It's recommended use is from 50w up to a 100w and a little bit more.
Personally, I think I might grow out of it quickly but it's still there.
There's no need for links, just check it out!
