This is obviously just for the Atomic, correct?

Anywhere online that you know of that we can purchase? A quick Google search resulted in packs of 1000. While I like to be sure I always have replacements, this may be a little bit too much. :)

McMaster.com has them in manageable quantities (25 or 50 in a pack I think) and the shipping is usually overnight.

Pfft...the Atomic clone screws ...in fact, from what I can tell the authentic Atomic's are about the same...two things happen with these screws, if you torque on it to make it decent tight you'll cut your tails "and/or" the screw will cant to one side (the threads in the posts aren't a super tight tolerance) and you run the risk of the screw heads touching ...3 of the 5 Atomics I have had this issue (bad batch?), now for me the screw treatment is just part of the bf job...it takes 5 mins to remedy (really)

first off, you guys are right, the ends are rough...take them out and if you have a pair of pliers hold it by the head, lay a piece of fine grit sand paper on a flat surface grind the ends using a circular motion and make the bottom edges nice and flat and smooth.

2nd, (not totally necessary but great if you can)...if you have a drill, lightly chuck the threaded end of the screw and while running the drill, hold a file to the side of the head to shave off some of it's diameter...take it down till there's about 1mm from the Philips slots to the edge...this makes shorting between the screws impossible...

3rd, if you don't have a drill or file the screws do get better by cleaning up the bottoms but after you build, use for a while, then re-check the tightness (you do that right??? you should be) make sure you can slide a matchbook cover between the screw heads (don't trust your eyes, it's deceiving) :2c:

edit: btw, I think a dremel collet will tighten down on these if that's all you have for a drill

I got mine on ebay from a company in New Jersey. I order 2.5mm stainless blunt tip grub screws (headless set-screws) installs with an .050 Allen wrench. The guy on ebay sells packs of 25,50, or 100. I just ordered 2mm (Cyclone, stillare) and 2.5mm (Atomic and most others). I prefer Allen screws because they grip my Hudy driver so when I build I remove them completely and re-install after the coil. Also being that there is no head sticking up there is very little chance of shorting together.

These are the ones I bought:

$4 with free shipping. How can you go wrong?

I haven't checked to see what other drippers they will fit into but it might me worth trying on a couple more drippers. I use a 3mm on the Magma I picked up from them too.

Are you saying you use M2.5-0.45 x 3mm on the magma?

Original or clone? Not sure if it matters. I think the infinite is a 1:1.

Thanks. Trying to round spares up got it and my cyclones.

No the Magma is 3MM X 4

I have the exact measurements at home and will post them for the Magma. Sorry I won't be home until Sunday....... going fishing.
