Not sure about this but those temperatures look high to me, one wants to be careful about too high a temperature from what I gather ( a certain amount vaportizes and too much creates strange and undesirable things :)) .

Might be an application for a microcontroller driving a switch to handle the power and PWMing it. Dunno, but those things are not cheap either but being industrial equipment they might well be indestructible :).

I would just be concerned about developing an enclosure. The heat can be regulated, and as you said, as an industrial application purpose, one is all you may need. No coil, may be rugged as hell.

thats a good idea...if someone comes up with a great looking ecig that can use bothe tabacco or juice by simply switching carts man ill by one in a heart beat. im a little worried about the FDA ban and if i cant get any juice i will need a vaporizer that will use an 901 or 510 batteries so i can keep the feel of a cig.....man you can make some good money if someone creates this...I just dont have enough wireing experence to attemp something like that

Need only one, and rugged as hell. This is exactly what we need in the ecig parts list. Especially if there comes a ban someday.

Definately hoping for some updates from experimental folks here.

So, who has the electronic savvy mind to figure out a simple way (resistor?) to control the temp so that it is small enough to be used in maybe a pen style PV?

The guys over in the "901 atomizer disassembly" thread appear to have the technical expertise. All I know is code, and am all thumbs with circuits more complex than a flashlight.

Seems this would be the perfect heater for a hot-plate design to keep the heater itself clean and dry.

Add an airhole just above the plate, restrict airflow directly over the plate so air would have to pass over it and vapor would escape through an opening opposite the airhole when inhaled. With no actual parts coming in contact with the area that would get dirty, a recirculating cleaner pump like the one I rigged up for the 901 attys could work great. Pressure isn't an issue when the fluid isn't touching anything that can get damaged.

Retina_Burn..

If you are seriously considering ordering a custom heater, the Atomizers get 200C, not 200F... you will be wasting money if you order a 200F version...

What I propose is that we tell them that we need a small (as in 1/2 inch or less size) heater, capable of reaching 200C... and that you plan on using 3.7(or 6) volt DC Li-Ion batterys (I would even give them the link to the Deal Extreme page for some CR2's or something).... They need to know our exact specifications and what we will be installing it in so they can make one that is correct for us...

If they can do that, I'll be down for 10 of them
