burned himself on the metal handle that had been scorched by the blazing sun. he thought, "this day just can't get any worse", then suddenly....

 

[Bintmartin]

A police car pulled up, lights flashing, sirens blaring. The officers jumped out of the car, weapons drawn, yelling "hold it right there! On the ground! Hands on your head".....

He dropped to the ground, put his hands on his head and thought "Now what else can go wrong?"

and he finds out quickly

That a car exactly like his was just used in a bank robbery down the street

and he was trying so hard to convince the cops it wasen't him.

But his wallet was in the car so he could not prove his identity.

So he was stuck with trying to have someone get his wallet

But the police would not let him get off the ground.

He's trying to convince one of the cops to check his license in the car.

One of the guys in the shop came out and vouched for him. Now the cops are going to call a service to open his car. His phone is also in there. It's ringing like crazy. Who is calling??? Well it's none other than...

his best friend wanting to know why he's being arrested.

Which really surprised Shane . . . How did he know what was happening to "Me" right now, especially since his best friend was supposed to be home taking care of business.

Until he remember his friend has a police scanner.

And he realizes the ribbing he is going to get for this day's events.

He wonders how many will think he's quilty.

Untill "Shane" finally realizes that the Police scanner was in his Best Friend "Bobbie-Joe's" - "1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88" that was an exact duplicate of his "Delilah" that they had bought them at the same time . . . Then it hit him just like a brick upside the head . . . Still "Shane" didn't believe it - but everything was pointing to the fact that his Best Friend "Bobbie Joe" - was actually there and was the person the police were looking for that robbed the bank down the street. WOW ! ! ! "Shane's" head was spinning - HE DIDN"T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW . . .

So he decided to do nothing.
