The hum of the Chevey 350 filled his ears again, peppered with the occasional rasp of the carto in the tank Billie Bob was puffing on. The car was boosted from some quiet driveway near the lake. The sun-cracked vinyl of the seats was sticking to Shane's legs, that were starting to cramp up from confinement. Staring down the dark and nearly empty highway, Shane asked his friend/sister/one-time-lover, "Could ya pull it over? I've got to drain the lizard." Billie Bob took another vape of her delicious "Slap Yer Sister's Peach" and nodded as she swung the old, blue Chevy Malibu Classic onto the berm...

Billie Bob quickly shut off the headlights as Shane, wincing, clambered into the cracked and dirty, vinyl passenger seat. Before he could even shut the door, she had it rolling off the road, trying to make themselves invisible to the Fed's flying towards them. "Now what?" Shane asked as they slid the hulking metal beast behind a shrubbery.

"Well," said Billie Bob in a surprisingly calm tone, "Were a gunna call yer girlie and hav'er meet us...

"Hmmmmm..." said Billie Bob with a mischevious glint in her eye. "It's bin 9 yers since I had ya in ma bed." Suddenly Shane was aware of her strong hand tracing circles on his shaking thigh. "Billie Bob!" He chastised. "You know I'll never cheat on Chrissy. Besides, we decided we can't go back there." What Shane never realized was that Billie Bob never did stop pining for her brother. It was the sole reason why she left home. It was the sole reason why his "sister" never returned but four years later his "friend" showed up in town, a stranger with no real connections or attachments, save one...

Suddenly they were both startled out of their reverie by the theme-song of "Duck Dynasty." As Shane retrieved his phone, he could see the caller-id show the name he most feared and desired to see...Chrissy...

So Shane decided to answer the phone call . . . As he said "Hey" - Chrissy started talking right away . . . Shane - Shane, I'm with the FBI . . . YOU HAVE GOT TO STOP THE CAR . . . They know everything . . . That you had nothing to do with the Bank Robery . . . AND - What happen to the FBI Agent . . . They even know all about Billie Bob too . . . They don't want YOU . . . They said they will not do anything to YOU . . .They want Billie Bob . . . BUT - YOU HAVE GOT TO STOP THE CAR . . . Or you will become an accomplice and they will shot - You Too . . . Shane was in shocked and knew Chrissy would not lie to him . . . All Shane could say and keep saying was - Okay . . . All of a sudden - Shane hung up the phone and just "shyed" {?SP} . . . Bllie Bob asked Shane why he didn't ask Chrissy to meet them . . . Shane knew he had to think fast - so he said he couldn't get a word in because Chrissy was hesterical and crying - while she kept asking him what he was doing . . . That's why he hung-up on her . . . "Billie Bob" said "So typical of the little girl" and was satisfied with Shane's answer . . . NOW Shane had to find a way out of this mess and STOP the car before anything else happened . . .

"Billie Bob, we've got to stop somewhere and..." Shane started. "Quiet!" Billie Bob shouted, then more calmly, "I'm thinkun. Thar's a li'l motel up a ways near Souix City that charges by tha ah'r, cash, no questchuns." She turned to Shane. "We-ill hole up ther fer tha night and fin' ussa set-o-wheels in tha morn'n"

About 2 miles from the motel, they sent the Malibu into a ditch, out of sight from the road. After walking about a mile, Billie Bob tossed the crumpled lisence-plate into some trees. She was clever, even if she sounded like a rube. After they checked into the motel, payed for from what little cash remained in Shane's wallet, Billie Bob said, " You stank like a road-kill skunk... getcher ... in dat show'r whilst ah rustle up sum vittles."...

"Ya :censored:, :censored: piece a :censored:, :censored: chair!!!!" he heard Billie Bob shouting. "Now Ah've spilt m'damned beer!" Shane didn't know whether to be relieved or disappointed that it wasn't some federal agent bursting in to put an end to all this madness. All he wanted was a great vape and his Chrissy by his side.
"Here," Billie Bob said bruskly (sp) as she thrust a cold, open bottle of Bud at him, "ah'm a surin ya need this ahs much ahs ah do." For once, she was right.

The next thing he knew, the sun was shining and his head hurt fiercely. He could hear and feel the poorly maintained air-conditioner blowing its not-very-cold breath on his face. Slowly he opened his eyes, ready for the pain but not expecting to see a toned and naked female form, with an hellacious farmer's-tan, bent over at the foot of the bed...

Then he remembered and knew that since "The Story of Shane, Billie Bob & Chrissy" was already laid out before him . . . AND - More importantly, without going over all he done and that happened so far in the past few days . . . Shane knew what he had to do - NOW . . . Get Out of The Motel and Away from Billie Bob as quickly as he possible can . . . So he could get back to his Wife Chrissy . . .
