Received my stainless Vamo V3 less than a month ago from fasttech and, for the most part, I've been really happy with it. Being my first VV/VW mod, it did everything I wanted it to do and then some.
Unfortunately, today it has become almost unusable for me... as it was intended to be used, at least.
When I got it, I could already tell the threads were jacked up. When I'd screw a tank in, it would not sit straight on the mod. It would make a connection, and was usable, but I could already tell the threads weren't going to be friendly. I should have known, as this was the most complained about aspect from all the reviews I've read at FT and other places. I figured that since I would just be using it at home, where it wouldn't see much abuse, I'd just vape it and deal with the cockeyed tanks.
Unfortunately, since my absolute favorite tank to put on it is a KFL+, it required that I remove the tank to refill it every other day or so. I know I can top fill, but I flood it just about every time I've tried. Never flooded when bottom filling. Anyway, that periodic screwing and unscrewing made the threads hold onto the tank less and less, and tonight it got to where I couldn't even screw it on at all without using teflon tape to hold it in place. So it's still usable, but it looks like I'll have to reapply the tape each time I fill the Kayfun or put another tank with a 510 connector on it.
I sent a ticket to FT to see if there's any kind of warranty on it and plan to hold off on leaving negative feedback until I see what, if anything, can be done. Just thought I'd share it here, too. If they do happen to replace/repair it for me, I'll only use it with the 510-to-eGo or 510-to-510 adapter from here on out.
