I'd love to call myself an artist, alas; that is not my "calling". I've tinkered with almost every 3D program that's come out since 1990. Nowadays; I prefer Sketchup for CAD like stuff and C4D with its Advanced Rendering module for "beauty" shots. Tried all the top end renderers (VRay, MentalRay, Indigo, Kerkythea, etc) and always went back to C4D's "built in" system.
Don't have much in the way of renders since I use SKU and C4D more for visualizing things I want to make (computer case mods, APV mods, etc).

That's incredible work mmikee. I really like the 2nd one - office setting (the best) and the 4th one - guy on an island.

I dabbled in SketchUp for awhile, but all of my designs look like kindergarten compared to what you're up to.
I also once had business ambitions in this area that aren't entirely dead, but are on the back burner with a very low flame.

Thanks for the kind words. I get alot of sketchup models from clients. We rebuild them in Max mostly, but SU is a great program.

Yup... SU is a great piece of software for sure. And the fact that there is a large community of developers out there that pump out great plugins makes it even better. And then there's the price; nothing better than $0.00 for the standard version. I have the Pro version only because it was a gift from my ex, but there really isn't much you can do with the Pro that can't be achieved with the Standard version by using a little bit of ingenuity and some free plugins.

+ 1 to what Jman8 said about that second render man; I actually had to do a double take to be able to find out the "rendered image vs real photo" stuff.

Oh; and I just noticed you're a member over at CGSociety. I've been a member there for years; LOOOOVE that place.
