Hey all,

I searched and couldn't find anything similar but that's not to say a thread doesn't exist so I'm sorry if it's a dupe.

So yeah, basically as the thread title suggests is anyone into astronomy?
If so maybe we can use this thread to share our experiences, pictures, give advice and anything astro related.

I'll kick off.

I got my first scope a few years ago but have always had an interest. My gear at the moment consists of a 6" f8 reflector, 90mm budget refractor and an 88mm PST mod for solar observing.
I also have a Polarie for widefield shots with my dslr.

Basically my goals for the near future are to improve my planetary and solar imaging to a level where I can justify more spending for a C11. I also want to make a better effort to just visually observe, I'm a bit lax on that side.
Another project that I have started but have put on the back burner is grinding my own mirror for eventual use in a home made dob.

Anyway, here is a recent pic I took of M31. It's nothing fancy but shows people what can be done with a dslr and standard 50mm lens. The picture has been cropped but the size hasn't been increased.

While I'm at it here is the PST Mod.

So if anyone else would like to share this is the place.
