At the end of the month I am taking a trip to Boston, can anyone tell me the laws concerning vaping in bars/ restaurants. I know the hotel I am staying in is a non smoking facility but I intend to vape in the room.(I find it easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission)I know where I live the smoking laws extend to vaping(Suffolk county, New york) yet a few miles away in the next county they don't.(Nassau) and I regularly vape in bars in Manhattan. Any advice would be appreciated......also in addition to Regina's pizza where is a good place for lunch specifically in the Cambridge area. any advice is appreciated, Thanks in advance. p.s. I am a Mets Fans.....Yankees suck!:p

In boston, stealth it. People are .....s (ducks! I swear). I grew up there and the hypersensitive freshly-indoctrinated college crowd is just waiting for someone to stone. I've stealth vaped all over the city, including the airport, and never had a problem. Vaping openly will get you dirty looks and self righteous sneers. Part of the reason why I left that city is because people there are terribad to one another.

In terms of things to do: You should hop on the Red Line Subway and go to the Davis T stop. Plenty of great bars and restaurants there. Johnny D's is a staple club in Davis that usually has very good blues bands. Redbones is a fantastic BBQ joint a few blocks up. Prospect Hill, just across town is the site where the first american flag flew if you're into sightseeing. Tufts is nearby, as is Harvard - so there's lots of college girls if you're into that.

Beyond that, Boston itself has lots to do. You should go for a drink at the Top of the Hub (but don't stay for dinner, unless you need/want another mortgate). Great view of the city.

Enjoy your trip!

Jim
