I just learned of a meetup that happened back in June in Louisville, forgot where - it was listed in the Bluegrass Vapers sub-forum. About to make a trip out to Maxx's I think. Now, about those 2.0 clearos: AWESOME. 'Nuff said. Stock up. I hope Maxx's will start carrying them. Just about every online vendor is selling the previous version CE4s for $5, Maxx's is still asking for $7.95 (5 for $35 - still not a good deal, seeing how if you got from online you'd save $5 AFTER shipping). Even with shipping thrown in the mix, this isn't a good deal unless you are plum out (which I'm getting uncomfortably close to). The juices are also a bit high at $9 for a 10ml bottle. Some markup is to be expected, running a shop ain't cheap, & is much more overhead than vending exclusively online.
So, I've still got some faith in these guys - but they are going to have to stay with the times. No ECF presence as far as I can tell, their site needs some work (I'm no web designer here), prices need some updating, and they should probably remove claims of cartridges to packs of cigarettes on their site - mileage varies highly with
vaping and these types of claims can be misleading (not to mention could potentially bite them in the behind). Their discounts don't kick in til' you buy 5 of something; I think 2 or 3 of something is much more reasonable.
I don't think they're a rip off all things considered, and totally want to support the only vape shop in town. That being said, until the price situation is fixed they will only be supplemental/last resort for me. I'm still trying to find my
vaping "mainstay" and am still getting a feel for how long juice and cartos/attys/clearos will last me. Once I've got that down, I honestly don't know how much I'll be going there. Maybe if they had a discount club membership type deal and update some of their merch, who knows? As it stands, I think I'm just going to pickup some clearos and juice today, and see how long they last me and hope for the best.
