I went to Incredible Dave's and talked to them about it. The manager said he was okay with it but would need to call the Health Board and he wanted my name and number. Still hasn't called, though, so I'll probably give them a call tomorrow.
Just curious about the manager's response that the "Health Board" needed to give approval for us to vape indoors. Did you ever hear back from the manager? Did they actually call the Louisville Metro Health and Wellness Department? And did they approve indoor
vaping? Any chance it was in writing?
In reality, indoor vaping is perfectly legal and not prohibited by the current "smoking" ban because it specifically prohibits only burning tobacco product use. Any business owner can, on their own authority, permit or deny indoor vaping until the Louisville Metro Council goes through the legal process of passing a new ordinance, or amending the old one.
But, since we're nice people with an eye on good public relations, we do ask nicely. As Dalton said in the movie Roadhouse, "Be nice, until it's time to not be nice." If the Council tries to pass a no vaping ordinance, then we will have to adjust our strategy accordingly.
Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all at the gathering. And is anyone bringing any of the outstanding information about the advantages and benefits of vaping to give to "Incredible Dave's" manager or owner? If they happen to be smokers, we may have the opportunity to bring them over from the "dark side," and add them to the ranks of vaporers . . .

May the Vapor be with you!
