Count me in. I just live down the road a bit on Lyndon Lane. I don't have a spare 510 atomizer for the kit, but can donate a couple of cartos from madvapes.

Question - I saw where the Health Department needed to be contacted for permission to vape indoors. Did this actually happen? And did they really give the green light?
Kinda curious myself...

I'll be working from 12:30 to 7:30 tomorrow. So i wont be there :(
Hate that you're not going to make it... Hopefully we can work it out for the next Lexington meeet to get you there though...

I went to Incredible Dave's and talked to them about it. The manager said he was okay with it but would need to call the Health Board and he wanted my name and number. Still hasn't called, though, so I'll probably give them a call tomorrow.

Just curious about the manager's response that the "Health Board" needed to give approval for us to vape indoors. Did you ever hear back from the manager? Did they actually call the Louisville Metro Health and Wellness Department? And did they approve indoor vaping? Any chance it was in writing?

In reality, indoor vaping is perfectly legal and not prohibited by the current "smoking" ban because it specifically prohibits only burning tobacco product use. Any business owner can, on their own authority, permit or deny indoor vaping until the Louisville Metro Council goes through the legal process of passing a new ordinance, or amending the old one.

But, since we're nice people with an eye on good public relations, we do ask nicely. As Dalton said in the movie Roadhouse, "Be nice, until it's time to not be nice." If the Council tries to pass a no vaping ordinance, then we will have to adjust our strategy accordingly.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all at the gathering. And is anyone bringing any of the outstanding information about the advantages and benefits of vaping to give to "Incredible Dave's" manager or owner? If they happen to be smokers, we may have the opportunity to bring them over from the "dark side," and add them to the ranks of vaporers . . .

May the Vapor be with you!

It was wonderful to see so many new faces at the get together yesterday! 6 out of 8 people were new to the group. (That's counting Nikhil's father who had to leave before the majority showed up.) Love how we've grown over the last few months! We even have a new member from Indiana who'll be joining us again when we're in Louisville. Incredible Dave's was really great to us... and should be really fun for those folks who'd like to bring their kids with them too!

The juice flowed.... the PV's were checked out.... We talked for hours... It was a blast! As usual, I couldn't decide what juices to bring... so I stuffed the camera bag full. (and it's got a ton of room!) The lighting was terrible for pics anyway... though here are a few if you're interested... Next time we're going to get someone to take a good group pic in decent light!

Think one of the funniest moments was when Darthvapor, his friend (whose name escapes me... sorry!) and Waywardmage were passing around my Fist Pack like a .... in their first true 5 volt experience... Think it went around the table 3 or 4 times... complete with appropriate comments... "Oh man! You gotta take a hit of this!" LOL! Surprised we didn't have management wonder over at that point!

Hope to see all of you again real soon!

Wow, was this a fantastic evening. I always believed that the nicest people vaped, and now I have proof. Looking forward to next month in Lexington. It was my first meet event but won't be the last.

The eJuice was great, especially from Nikhil, who has a local "Designer E-Liquid" business and website at Pure Vapes: Home. Looking forward to checking out some more of his creations.

And, as TWolf mentioned, the "FistPack" was mind-blowing. I've only been vaping a little over six months, but I'm willing to bet that that modded PV is unbeatable. I'm saving my nickles and dimes. May even sell a spare car!

See you all at the next meet. And if you are in the area, join us for the next gathering. There's room at the table!

I second DarthVapr in that the FistPack was an impressive mod. We had a real "puff, puff, pass" moment. TWolf hooked me up some juice samples, and even sent some home with my wife (in 0mg since she hasn't smoked in 12 years). Now I have to buy the wife a battery and couple of atomizers. ;)

In another note, I'm pretty sure I managed to interest a couple of people in the lifestyle. I've been talking to a co-worker and yesterday I let him sample one of mine (Kamel from VaporKings) and afterwards he asked me for some advice on where he could get a starter kit (w00t!). In addition, last night my son-in-law was at the house and asking questions and after answering questions for about 45 minutes, I finally said "Here, just give it a try". I dripped some of the Bannana-nut Bread juice TWolf gave my wife into a clean carto and watched the look of enlightenment come over his face as he puffed on it. Before he left, he asked me to send him some websites where he could get a starter kit (w00t again!).

Long story short, no matter how much talking you may do, nothing sells it like it sells itself. I say always carry a clean cartridge with you and next time you see a friend or co-worker who still smokes, offer to let them take a draw or two off of it. It gets a lot of attention and you won't even have to steer the conversation to it. Just don't get pushy about it, I think all of us past smokers have had about enough of people being pushy about our habit. ;)

I got my eldest daughter ready to convert last evening. She said she was going out for a smoke and I let her borrow my 510. By the end of the night, she still hadn't gone out for that smoke. :)

Woot is right! That's great Wayward! I'm so glad that you all were able to join us. Really looking forward to getting together again real soon. :)

I'm sure that someone here has seen the Louisville Courier-Journal and commented on it, but in case you are reading this and haven't, below is the link. I have to say it's one of the better balanced media treatments of the subject. Top left on the front page, "above the fold" in journalistic parlance (as I picked up as a former editor of the Jefferson Community College's student newspaper, The Quadrangle).

Be sure to leave a comment on the C-J website of the article. I'm working on one now.

Thanks for the link, DarthVapr, and also, excellent comments. I'll see if I can write up something after work this evening.

Hello everyone... My wife and I just recently started vaping and quite analogs. In my search for somewhere nearby for supplies/advice i came across BV. We live about 30 mile SW of Louisville (we both lived in Louisville most of our lives) and was wondering if anyone knows of any store that carry PVs and juices in the Louisville area? Also wanted to ask if there was going to be another get together in the near future?

I just visited Nikhil's site and will be giving him some business, but we are both still trying to figure out what we like for flavors and mg.

Anyway, very nice to meet others in the area!

Only store I know of is in Richmond... small place that carries 510/901/905 stuff... Planning on a Louisville meeting the first weekend in December... Hope to see you all there!
