Most mods are made in the U.S., U.K., Germany, or Greece (although recently China has started making mods, e.g., DSE905 and Indulgence). However, those are only the battery housings. [If you are interested in mods (and a serious vaper should be), the most comprehensive guide has been provided by ECF member, ViZi.]

With two exceptions (to my knowledge), all atomizers are made in China. I think Joye is the most innovative and makes the best, most reliable attys ... most notably the Joye510 (and the eGO/Tornado, made by Joye, is an outstanding new battery). Kr8 cartomizers are pretty good too ... and I've read good thing's about BestEcig's BE112 penstyle atty. Some China attys are made to U.S. specifications, e.g., the HV attys and Joye510 LV* atty for NHaler (specs per nerf). And Leaford (American) is over in China cooking up something for Vapor4Life.

* It's not called that. It is a low-resistance atomizer used in NHaler's new Magnum 5V-simulated mod, but it is analogous to the "HV" attys (which are high-resistance) for use with high-voltage (6V+) battery mods. You see, the power (watts) delivered to the atomizer is a product of both the battery voltage (V for volts) and atomizer resistance (ohms): watts = voltage(squared) / ohms. [This is a version of the Law passed by Mr. Ohm a few years ago.;)]

The two exceptions are the Carlos atomizer (part of his Juice Box) made in the U.S. and Imeo's modified RN4075 (part of his GG AFS Automatic feeding system) made in Greece.

The closest thing to an all-American PV today probably is the Juice Box with a Tenergy battery (most batts are made in China, Tenergy is U.S.). Although the plastic housing, plastic juice bottle, circuit boards, wiring, and connectors may have started life in Asia, even if Carlos purchases them from Radio Shack.
