Sorry if I sounded like "I know the ultimate kit that you need" its 3:00 am lol.

your suggestion is right that maby he could get some 1.8 and 2 ohms as well but under load... an ego will not fire at 3.7, not for a long time at least, I never burnt any juices with an simple ego battery.

I don't want to sound argumentative at all - I promise! Really! Really! But standard, regulated joyetech eGos fire at ≈3.2v and while the generics may fire at that voltage, most of them are 3.7v.

You might be right. I never really checked the real output of a non regulated ego.

But! I seriously doubt he'll burn his juices with them :D If he does... I will apologize. I promise!

:toast:

You are still young and if you are already feeling that way in the morning then maybe it's time to consider a healthier alternative. Go to Fasttech and get an inexpensive kit and just do both for a while and then just start cutting back on the cigs and up the vapor. I know that makes it sound easy but that is how I did it and I thought it was easy. The thing you have to decide is do you really want to stop smoking. After that... the rest gets easier. I wish I had questioned myself when I was 25 years old. I also wish I had tried vaping long before I did. Good luck to you. This forum can give you all the information, opinions and support that you can handle.

I was trying to order the Spinner Kit recommended above at MyVaporStore.com and every combination I tried to order was out of stock. On Monday they only had the Pink Spinner 1300mah and no stainless Evods. So I suggest if you want to order that kit, save yourself some time and email them and ask them if they have what you want in stock. They replied back to me within 24 hours and confirmed they were out of stock on all the combinations I was trying to order. The Spinner is very popular right now and it can be hard to find one store that has everything you want. Good luck to you and congrats on quitting smoking. Do lots of reading here at ECF. Lots of good info and good people.

I do have one more question. Juice... P/G (Propylene Glycol)...V/G (veggie)..Distilled h20

You said 50/50 mix. Can anyone comment on the taste/vape of vg/h20 mix (70/30)

I'm being a little ar on this but PropG is the synthetic stuff that is toxic in high amounts. Since I'm trying to create a health habit here any thoughts on pure VG mixes since that is a lesser/non offender and I'm creating an alt behavior here which I will prob stick too :)

There is a huge bang for buck by buying the 200+ml sizes I know flavor will be clove or menthol and I think pure pg is what caused some of the sting in the old juices (memory fuzzy tho) so I kinda want avoid it if its not crucial but dont want to make a mistake buying so much vg and I just can't resist buying bulk with the price difference.

I can't comment on the PG/VG stuff, I am too new to advise you on that. But I would recommended Mt. Baker Vapors for a really inexpensive vendor for the juices. And if you contact during the day they have a chat setup where you can ask them questions about juices and what would be right for you and your equipment. Their prices are great and they have a huge selection of juices. There is also a Thread on here just about their juices. You will find that in the e-liquid forum. If you go over to the e-liquid forum there are all kinds of vendors of juices and you will find most people have a few favorite vendors/flavors. There are so many options and only so much money

Again, read, read, read.

in fact pg is non toxic where as vg is a little. When I say little I mean Extremely low toxicity. Licking your fingers is more toxic than vg.

The amount of pg or vg we vape is not in sufficient quantity to create any adverse effect on the short to medium term. What about long term? Nobody knows, vaping is new, although they use it all the time in showbizz to create fog effect, and being a show technician myself, I never heard of any problems related to fog machines. BUT, some people are allergic to PG, so be aware of that.

PG is said to produce a better flavor and a better throat hit whereas VG produces more vapor. So if you go 100% VG, expect to have a lesser throat hit. Milder flavor but tons of vapor. i personally like 50 50. but thats a matter of taste.

I just went with 50/50. I have vaped before in the past... we had a volcano for herbs and stuff way back. It worked quite well iirc and frankly now that I think of it if this run of it doesn't work out I may switch to loose leaf and look into getting one of those even if its just home use. (don't think I will do well being seen sucking on a big bag in the parking lot)

I tried a few of these out for cigs back when atomizers and cartridge was the only terminology to initial success and ultimate frustration.

I shouldnt worry about toxicity . Smoke and a touch of hcho wins that war

drink lots of water. pg/vg sucks up water and will dry out your mouth and throat. if you chain vape you might want to get a lower nic since you can over dose. you wont die but you will feel like crap. i started with 18 but went down to 12 and lower because i chain vape and drink a gallon plus of water a day. you will probably spend more money than analogs in the first month till you get a set-up and juice you like but after that you should spend less. i quit over a month ago and havent even wanted a cig since. transitioned in 3 day to vaping and i have been feeling better and better since.

this forum is a great tool to help quit and most are willing to give their two cents on the same thing over and over. only dumb question here is the one not asked, sometimes again and again lol.

I've been DIY-ing my own e-juice for a while, and as far as the pg/vg ratio goes it really comes down to personal preference. The reason most folks suggest a 50/50 ratio for newcomers is because it provided a good mix of vapor and throat hit (TH). To be honest, when I started out, the TH from a 50/50 ratio was too much for me in the device i was using. I started upping the ratio of VG, and found my sweet spot (with the device i was using) to be 70%vg/30%pg. I tried going higher, but ran into wicking issues. It's ironic though, after a couple months I found myself craving a stronger TH and after slowly dialing back leveled the ratio back to 50/50. the Flavor and nic level you choose has a lot to do with the amount of TH experienced too. The "100%" (well not really 100%) VG juices can be great, but some mixes can also be kind of finicky, and are generally a bit more expensive. I would suggest going that way if you feel as though you may be developing an allergy to PG (there are a few good threads that go into way more detail about that topic, BUT don't let that scare you off. The likelihood of developing a PG allergy is quite rare. Besides, most folks are already aware they have this condition long before vaping because PG is in a mind boggling range of consumer products.)

For whatever it may be worth, my personal current favorite ratios are:
1: Really strong menthol and/or cinnamon flavor 60%VG / 40%pg
- fire&ice type flavor was really strong and was what got me off of mint chew ;)
2: tobacco & fruit flavors 50/50

Ok, from what I understand about your requirements, you need power, battery life, control, portability, strong juice, and money is no object. Normally, I give the same spiel of ego batts, etc. However, if I had to do it all over again, I would get two of the new iTaste 3.0 vv/vw stick batteries. These provide 800 mAh, use usb passthrough connections, about an inch longer than a 650 mAh ego, etc. Variable wattage/power is why many step up to a mod/APV. This little iTaste has all the same features in an amazingly small form factor. Start with strong juice, say 24/36 mg/ml first week, then drop when you power through the cravings. The iTaste is an Innoken product, not a knockoff and you can get them inexpensively from Fasttech:

$39.54 iTaste VW V3.0 7-in-1 Variable Voltage Rechargeable 800mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - vv-3.0 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

You can buy these as an express kit as well:

$24.80 iTaste VV Voltage Adjustable 800mAh Rechargeable Battery - two digit display / with USB charging cable at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The first kit comes with four clearomizers. Order some evods:

$18.15 EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer (1.5mL) 7-pack - 2.6

And some spare coils:

$4.58 EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Atomizer Heating Core (5-Pack) 5-pack - 2.4

Ok, here's the rub, for the money, a lot of people are going to recommend a Vamo. Costs less and has way longer battery life. It's an excellent entry level mod, light saber sized device. I have two. They have an 18350 form factor as an option. All good, but not as portable as the iTaste 3.0, which is a genuine Innokin product. I have three now and will never be buying an ego/spinner/twist/kgo/winder again. I have them all and love them, but they're not the same as the 3.0 mentioned. A whole level of magnitude higher. They are the bomb, and I plan on getting more.

Vaping is almost 100% subjective. You like what you like. I'm giving you my two cents after vaping since 2009 and a whole lotta investment in equipment, and seeing amazing technology changes. What worked yesterday, works even better today,. Lotsa good juices out there. I DIY, but recently ordered a dozen bottles from MBV (Mount Baker Vapor) just to check out something new. In the long run you will save money. In the short run, not so much. Eventually (24 hours +), this thing can lead to a serious hobby, that's akin to adult Christmas/BDay/St. Pat's day, etc. all rolled into one. You'll probably feel that way 5 minutes after you place your first order.

If you've already ordered your first gear, forget this post. Welcome to the Team, congrats on your decision to beat the analogs, and Vape On!

Had gotten everything else in was waiting on the unit to come int'l. Got it today.

Pretty satisfying and for like $20 something I bought 2 kits so when my battery dies I'm not going to big stack of analog cartons as ones always in charge. Haven't jonesed for a smoke since I charged them up.

Right decision trusting an earlier poster about using 1.5's. I used factory default and swapped it out and the throat hit/temperature was a bit more to what I am accustomed.

Downsides right now tank capacity & leakage (in use, horizontal, not overfilled). A few drops come out of the mouthpiece on occasion. From what I gather it might be from drawing too hard as its light to the touch but I'm making every concious effort to do it light but still get it.

If there is any compatible tank that might address capacity, leakage and also be glass to remove juice capability worries too.

Smoking clove so its not a horrible taste in the mouth when it leaks (though it does make the mouth dry/thirsty @ leak) mostly the eugenol is what I notice in numb gums.

I would recommend the ego twist, vamo, or svd with a carto tank setup. If you a buy a the svd kit that might be good for beginners. I didn't really like the Iclear 30s though. But I love carto tank setups. I would recommend some juices for you, but i don't know exactly what you want. But so far a few of my favorites have been johnson creek red oak Tennessee cured and merango.
