Any Istick 30w problems?

I've had my 30W ever since they first came out and have had no real problems with it. I love the size - it's the perfect stealth mod. I get a good 5-6 hours out of the battery, and I basically chain vape. That's pretty comparable to my other mods. The only real quibble is the usb port at the bottom seems a little bit crooked, so I have to be really careful when I plug it in. Others have noted that problem in the big istick thread. All in all, I'm very happy for the low price I paid for it and would have no hesitation recommending it to others.

Because I bought one a couple weeks ago and have heard horror stories of the 50w and general poor build quality of eleaf products in general.

I believe either the quality of the device or its electronic is not good enough to handle/support the 50w output, which is why the iStick 30 is good but the iStick 50 is bad...

For me, I prefer not to go cheap if I am looking for a device over 30w because I don't see the need to change/upgrade from that kind of output (expect for new technology)..
I prefer spending more money on a device that can last years.

I have about 4 30's and maybe one gives me short battery life but they all work fine. The 20 watts all have iffy 510 connections but they are old and well used.

I have 3 - 30W and 1- 10W mini I have not experienced any problems as of yet and very pleased with the quality especially for the price, the mini and one of the 30W have been in constant use since I purchased them when they first came out. I did buy them with the disposable mindset though, as a regulated mod with an internal battery for the price I know it won't last forever. I think they say you can charge a rechargeable battery like 500-1000 times(?) depending on the battery so I would be overjoyed if I got a year or so from them and consider it an exceptional value ...I do believe eleaf is putting out quality products and other then the 50W istick which is supposed to have problems corrected I have not heard anything otherwise. I know they put out some great little tanks, I love the eleaf GS Air M and MS tanks and use them almost exclusively now because they are so hassle free.

If you want a longer lasting higher quality regulated mod you should get one with an external battery that has a great known track record but expect to pay more for it then the istick. I have a provari that I have been using for almost 4 years now that I bought used and it's still as dependable as the day it was made or you can go the fully mechanical mod route, do away the electronics and have a mod that can last a lifetime.

+1 for the provari. You can get the 2.5 with the 18650 extension for about 120 now and the build quality is phenomenal. I use that when i'm at home and not dripping. I know they are considered underpowered now and maybe just "hyped" but man oh man they just feel supremely well constructed.

I have a couple of the sigelei minis (30w) that were 33 bucks each and i use those when i'm out and about / on the road. Not sure if they will last for years, but cheap, have been good for a few months.. And i figure even if they died quickly i could still use the batteries with something else.

I got 2 istick 30s early on, the mistake was paying double at a b&m. One is still ok, though i never liked the feel of the button. The other got extremely hot using it at 29w, that scared me a bit so i dumped it. Given everything i've heard about lipro batteries i didn't want to risk keeping using it if the battery had already been stressed. The other thing that was true for both, the power adaptor for charging got crazy hot too, which didn't give me a lot of confidence.

May be just silly after all my mac laptop can get scaldingly hot on occassion too, i just have more faith in the technology in that.

My 30w has a janky 510 and doesn't allow for my subtanks to be screwed all the way down. My old aerotank and protanks fit fine though. Too bad for that since I don't use the aerotank anymore.

My wife finally figured out how high up you have to drop it from to break it. IMO it can take the impact of up to about a 7 foot drop.....go to eight and it's all over.

So I have 3 other ISitcks that all work perfectly, 2 30's and a 50
