This isn't exactly mass-media, but someone posted a nice rebuttal to the FDA on reddit. You guys may want to go and vote it up, to bring some more attention to your side of the debate.

Anyone who takes Jon Stewart, Glenn Beck, Bill Maher, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, etc. for anything more than what they are--sensationalist entertainment--is just as bad as the others.
as i said we have great care but our health insurance needs work...and cost is so much b/c everybody wants to sue for malpractice....its that simple
its becoming a business....the doctors are not the ones to blame....its the lawsuits...big pharmas...and insurance companies that want to make money...and it will keep going up until it crumbles because the foundation of these companies will crumble b/c hardly anyone can afford them anymore.
you think the deficit of this country is high now.....just wait....Cant blame anyone on this except for Big pharma.......health insurance companies......credit card companies....and ourselves.....the whole system will collapse because the cost of living and the cost everything is so high. if there is a not a change soon this country will see another depression.......

I know what you mean. I agree with you.....all it is is one big business....but the doctors do care...so dont ever blame them...even the micheal jackson deal....mike was in pain a lot of pain....the doc did the best he could to help him with his pain....mike had the money to pay a doc to live with him....so he got personal care....that simple...
The FDA are doing a perfectly good job questioning their own claims. Their report plainly says they found only trace amounts of carcinogens and diethylene glycol was detected in only one cartridge, which is one particular flavour. So it's not really about critical, investigative journalism, just a little in-depth reporting would do. But it's gone out of style, I think.

I wanted to add that today I was watching fox news and a report on ecigs came up, it was Lame, they did even know what they where saying, the said that ecigs have Propylene glycol and they do but then this dumm ... girl says that is anti freeze ???? Oh my god anti freeze containes Diethylene glycol witch has been found in one cart from what I have read and yea that is bad but they are all confused and getting the two mixed up and then a doctor get on and starts to bash about how this is a bad way to promote quiting smoking but, WHAT IF WE DONT WANT TO STOP SMOKING AND JUST STOP KILLING OURSELVES??? with cigarettes.
Man that just make me shake my head and wonder, how stupid can humans be, its like middle school lies and ignorants. Anyway I will stop befor I need another puff

I couldn't resist and watched the thing. This must be one of the saddest things I've seen. Blabbering idiots, pushing pharmaceuticals, mixing up and confusing the drug names. Talking about the bad side effects of the evil nicotine that is in e-cigarette and telling you that patches are so much better for you!!!

it is real I watched it on fox and then found it on their website and since you have no voice on foxnewsDOTcom I went found it on youtube and could not be silent..
I will beg of everyone here to please go and comment on this so they might get it right, I do not want to go back to Analogs, I have been vaping for only a few weeks and my life has changed after 32 years of smoking cigs, I don't want vaping to end.

we are 50th in life expectancy not because of the "rich only being able to afford the better health care" give the class warfare drek a rest. we are 50th because this country doesnt eat well. (FDA i am looking right at you). we dont sleep enough. our smoggy cities accelerate heart and lung disease. we are constantly stressed at work, buying into the liberal scare tactic that we are all one paycheck away from homelessness. our spirit of competition drives us to innovate wonderful things, but they come at a cost. our work ethic drives us to work more hours and be more productive than almost any other country or culture. like eddie izzard said "you americans work hard to earn all the money in world so you can stick it in your ears and go 'ppbbbbbt' to the rest of the world".
to sum up:
-we dont eat right
-we dont sleep
-we work too hard
-we stress too much
-we dont have sufficient releases in life to generate eustress, much less time to do it
i would venture to say the first two are the major reasons, for example, the japanese work harder than we do probably. but they live longer because their diet is much healthier. but nobody else has all the factors i listed above but the good ol' us of a.
