that is the craziest looking thing i've seen in a while.

This video explains what this "thing" is. It is a variable voltage pass through for use while driving. It may work out good for someone with a long drive to work or someone who travels for a living. Not a bad idea.
The unit shown in a picture in an post above is the head that plugs into the car power source outlet.

I don't think anyone understands. That's just what the manufacturer says about it. Hopefully he understands.

I'm sure someone driving around with nothing to hide would want one. It looks like he is doing something illegal..cool concept though. If only I can get a good vape out of something that size without the cord.

The invictus still works by ohm's law... that's just some silly marketing if you'd ask me.
It's just that you wouldn't have to worry about ohm's law anymore if you use it in the default mode. The software does the calculating for you to get a supposedly optimal vape. If you want you can still use it in manual mode.
From those promotional pictures I don't know if I like the look, but I do like that it's aiming to be a mod for everyone.

New mods? Not completely "new", but the GP Paps X 1.5 and the SS Paps v3 is due to be released soon. First batch of X 1.5 is due this Wednesday, if I'm not entirely mistaken.

So..I'm sure we're just speculating here, but does the electric angel..whatever.. just stay at a set wattage in that mode?

I was thinking on the way in to work, maybe that it could use inductance or reactance measurements to calculate a good power output? But that is me driving in the rain on way to work, after staying up all night playing battlefield..

I see the cig lighter plug but don't understand how it's going to work though. Does it have a cord or something? It obviously has variable voltage but what do you do bend down to your cig lighter to take a hit? Lol....

It looks like a hookah style arrangement. The dial is the same as that used on their VW mod, so I imagine you set the watts, attach an atomizer, insert a 510 drip tip adapter with hose and mouthpiece, plug it into your cig lighter outlet and press that center button thing to vape.

I'm confident there will be a button at the atty end to vape it. One hand on the atty, one on the DRV... would leave most of us with very few hands to actually drive the car

Arrrr grrr!!! One of my major peeves with most mod makers. They can charge $200+ for a mod, but they don't give a (rear exit substance) about telling you what size it is. Seems Zen is one of the good guys tho... I'm sure we'll have the dimensions once it's released.
