Any of you long term vets have issues with the Vivi Nova>?

I just got a VV Optimus that came with a Vivi Nova, loving this optimus, but this vivi nova suck!
I keep getting burnt taste. I went as far as to cut the silcone sheath, and pull out a wick still burning.....

Dont get me wrong, when it vapes it tastes great....

I use other 510 Carts on higher voltages and dont get a burned taste, this vivi burns at 3.0V and even worse at 3.5+

Got some Vivi Clones and the first thing I noticed about them was that the coils were slightly wider than the silica wick. They had a burnt taste compared to some of the genuine Vivi's I have had. I don't think removing the wick will help in your case as the coil needs to be in contact to remain in a heated state rather than getting red hot (that causes the eliquid to burn). I have used Vivi's for over a year now and genuine or clone I have yet to have one perform as good out the box compared to a custom wound coil where I get to determine the exact coil size, spacing and taughtness on the wick. They are a good product, but they have their flaws I'm sorry to say. For me custom is the only way, but ymmv.

I've used a couple of vivi nova's and I won't buy them again. I get muted flavor and burnt taste. I don't know if it's because it is a top coil and long wicks but I've had better luck with bottom coil tanks.

you really gotta match the voltage to the resistance right on a vivi too. tip it and take soft long drags. and if its getting dry, just take a couple quick sucks while its tipped to suck more juice into wick chamber.

I like vivi novas a lot. that's all ive been using lately.
