Any other non-smokers to e-cig users?

I'm a non-smoker but havent started vaping yet.
A quick question. Does the flavours taste weird and can i just smoke without flavour? Im asking this because I have this friend who have been smoking for like 6 years and recently got his e-cigg. His one probably doesnt have any flavours. Moreover, he got his for just 10 dollars.

I really didn't smoke much due to the adverse health efffects but I do like my vape.

You can vape "without flavor", but the PG and VG that are used as a base are probably sweet. I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure they are. Anyplace selling ready to use juice is going to add some flavoring. If you want non-flavored, you can buy the PG/VG from places that cater to the DIY crowd.

His cheapy e-cig probably has a basic tobacco flavor. After all, that's their market, converting smokers.

And if it's a $10 e-cig, it probably has a tiny little battery, very little juice, and wouldn't do much to make most of us happy. I'm pretty sure a lot of smokers think "I'll try that", try it, decide that it sucks, and never try an e-cig again because their first experience was with a piece of trash. But the company that's selling them doesn't care - they sold their $2 piece of crap for $10, made a profit, and they'll sell more to some other smoker who would like to quit.
