Hey Everyone,

I have terrible luck with liquids. I've been vaping 100% PG menthol and peach menthol for the last 5 years because I can't find any liquids other that those that don't taste like perfume, incense, or soap (or combinations of the three). I've tried organics, 10 - 100% VG, and hundreds of fruit flavors, some premium like Jameson's and some not. I can't find a solution anywhere. I've been told a few times that I'm a super taster but none of the suggestions that I've gotten so far have helped. If anyone out there is like me and has found a company with liquids that work please share the info with me. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks!

I get enjoyment with topping off an almost empty tank with something else I have that I think will be compatible.. It's working great for me. I come up with "accidental" great flavor combos that keep me interested and vaping. Also cuts down on the chase for the perfect juice, hence costs. Easily satisfied with the subtle and sometimes dramatic flavor changes mixing brings. I haven't mixed many that were unvapeable. I do have a few tanks dedicated to my pure favorites tho.

That would be nice pipster but I can't find anything so far that is compatible with my regular menthol or peach menthol...:(

I had the same problem and have found a few solutions. Jade Tiger and Dime Piece at Mr E Liquids don't have that taste you're talking about for me and both mix well with menthol or peach. I also find I like nutty flavors... almond, pecan, black walnut... I don't get that taste in those either but Mr E doesn't carry those last I looked. I'm waiting on the straight flavorings now to DIY them. I learned they work for me by trying tobaccos flavored with them at Mountain Vapors which peach and menthol also work in. Anything except Maple Pecan at Mount Baker Vapor has that awful perfume/chemical taste to me also but I have to dilute it with VG. Its something in their base I guess or where they buy their flavorings.

I got the exact same taste for the first 6 months. Either I have gotten used to it or it went away.

Except for the straight menthols that I have vaped and the peach menthol that I started a couple of years ago I have never gotten over that taste and it's been 5 years now...

Thanks for the suggestions Patkin:) have you tried any of the Ice Line from Mr. E Liquid? Or any of their single fruit flavors? I really don't like to mix or DIY so I would like to buy my menthol already mixed. I'm thinking of trying some of the single menthol flavors. I've always had really bad luck with fruit blends but I might give the Jade Ice and Dime Ice a try.

Do you get any VG in yours?

I vape their signature blends which are 67/33. I think it is always marked on the drop down menu to pick ratio. As for the Ices, I already vape their menthol (best of any I've found actually) and get it in all three strength depending on my needs. So I just mix a bit of it with any other flavors I have from there... that way I can have a little more variety. I do put it in Jade Tiger and Dime Piece and its really good so if they sell it as an Ice already I'm sure its good. I started my vaping out with Grey Matter which is in the tobacco section but it really doesn't taste of tobacco. No one can describe it or should say everyone has a different idea what's in it. It and menthol at least used to be in the other sections too so I really don't think its a tobacco. Personally I taste a bit of vanilla and some kind of fruit. A bit confusing but hope this helps. But want to say I have tried at least 30 Mr E juices and have never gotten chemical/perfume but settled on Jade/Dime as my favorites and I don't care for any of the tobaccos except Gray Matter and English Garden (which I really don't think are tobaccos really.)

I have been trying to find some nice flavors but always get too much candy taste ,need a nice tobacco juice any luck?

I vape tobaccos all day and alternate with the JT and DP I talked about above to change out tastes and avoid vaper's tongue. The ones that work for me come from Mountain Vapor. Every tobacco I've gotten there is really good so it just depends on your preferences. I like: USA Mix, USA Rich, Bacconut, Cherry Cured and Sweet Leaf way, way, diluted down as its very strong of vanilla which I can only stand touches of. I've heard their apple cured is good but I'm not big on apples so haven't tried it. I'm awaiting an order now of the Flu Cured and imagine it will be just as good as the rest I've tried. Then its just a matter of taste. But the main thing is that chemical/perfume detector on my tongue has never detected it in what I've gotten there. I just add Mr E Menthol to the MV USA Mix and Rich when I want that flavor. Oh, and if you like nuts or dessert vapes, MV Pecan Roll is really good... the only dessert vape I can tolerate actually.

I just bought some Peach Ice 100%PG and MEL 67/33 blend. Keeping my fingers crossed, I'll let you know how it goes. Any advice on steeping liquids from MEL?

For me I have to have higher VG juice and more complex flavors. I also have to rotate juices throughout the day. If I vape juice that is of a lower quality ingredients my taste buds revolt as yours seem to do and want to concentrate on the "ick" factors in the juice. For me the perfumey notes are the worst.

Exactly. My proble is finding a juice that is being made with the right ingredients. For example I just closed and put away to sell two bottles of Jameson's Irish, Peaches and Cream and Melon Medley. This is a 50/50 juice of supposedly very high quality to me but it tasted they both tasted horrible, like fruit flavored wax.

BK, I really know where you are coming from. This is the main reason I got hooked on dripping. I mostly used my same juice provider of years cause its was US made but cheap. The flavor was bearable, but with the equipment we were using why pay highend prices for better juice when the cartos were crap. With some of the rebuildables at there now you can really taste your juice. I had to go searching for better juice. Gotta give a shoutout to thevaporgirl.com if you haven't tried them you are missing out.

Exactly. My proble is finding a juice that is being made with the right ingredients.

My taste abiliities were horrible until I started messing around with DIY. Once you "learn" some of the flavorings from the major manufacturers, you start to know what they taste like. You even get to the point where you can pretty much tell what flavor manufacturer certain vendors use. :)

You should pick up a few flavorings, put in some non nic PG, since that is what you vape, see what they taste like. Then you could "spike" your vendor juice a little with what might make it better for your taste buds.

I spike all my coffee vapes with Flavour Arts "Fresh Cream". I've tried all the other cream flavorings and this one tastes best to me. I also spike some of my fruit vapes with it. You could do the same with some minty or menthol flavoring. That might give you more things to vape, if you could add a little minty/menthol to vendor stuff you buy (because it willl often cover up or overwhelm a certain taste in a juice that you are not liking).

If you add a little VG to your juices, they will be a tad sweeter, and also bigger clouds.

I 'doctor' everything now that I don't DIY.
