any physical cues to identify an LR atty?

i got a flat black atty in a pif a couple of weeks ago, but since i had three other atties, i just put it in my box as a backup. last night, i was too tired to clean my other atties so i pulled this one out. holy carp! huge vapor clouds and killer flavor! doing comparison tests between all my other atties using the same cart and batt confirmed this atty is something special...or my other three atties are the same grade of crap. so is there any way to tell?

If you don't see any LR letters in the threaded side, you can measure the resistance with a multimeter before it gets dirty. Remember that 510 atty's are supposed to be around 2.5 ohms and 510 LR atty's are supposed to be around 1.6 ohms.

let's assume the atty's unmarked and out of all the tools i own, a multi-meter isn't one of them. does the coil look different?

I own only one LR atty and its coil looks the same as the standard ones, but behind the wick there may be some difference, I don't really know.

I've never had an LR that wasn't marked at the bottom clearly with "LR", but I also never noticed a difference with the net.

Since I am too lazy to turn them around, though, and since it doesn't show on an eGo anyway, I brought all but the first LR in white. Now that is easy to tell apart

I don't own any LR atty's, but I definitely have some that perform WAY better. The thing is it's not always the same one. For me it's never the cleanest atty that produces the best cloud of smoke. It's the well used broken in atty. The only time I really clean them any more than just blowing them out is if I use watermelon. For some reason I cannot get watermelon out of my atty's.

I picked up a purple bat/atty from R66 for my GF and wanted to break in the atty for her. So I vaped it for the night and WOW after a few initial hits this thing looked like my house was on fire. It's not LR, but it still produces a few weeks later. I think some are just better than others even though realistically they should all be the same. Not saying purple is better, just something about that particular atty that was great. The black one I got for myself in that same order was just like all the others.
