Does anyone know a place in Toronto that updates the Provari P3 firmware's? I know Provape has a locator section on their website but I'm hoping it's not up to date an someone knows a place.

RANT: Provape should have made some kind of "home" updater for the battery compartment with a USB port allowing people to do their own firmware updates. It's a real pain having to drive hours or mailing your unit in just to get a firmware update!

Welp, you are allowed to buy the updater if you wish. Can't be happy that you have a device than can have new features added at no or little cost, eh? The firmware does not *HAVE* to be updated, only if you want a few new features and minor bug fixes.

While you're at it, might wish to rant about the fact that you must remove your battery to recharge it too, eh?

They were listed on the site and didn't even have a programmer. Though they are expecting one in soon. Still a minimum 2+ hour trip to get my P3 firmware updated. They really should come up with an inexpensive home programmer.

2 hours, nearest place to me 1.5 hours drive one way, So what, maybe you will meet some fine people. Discover juice that you will like.

That's a pretty dumb thing to say don't you think? I'm very happy that the P3 can be updated and I don't mind paying a few dollars to have someone do it. Problem is there aren't as many places out there that do it. I think Provape was expecting more vendors to perform firmware updates. I think it would definitely be worth Provapes time to see if they can make a cheap updater that relied on computer to communicate the updates. Normally I couldn't care less about having the latest firmware but testing some devices on different firmware's, the latest seems to help with one nagging issue.....battery life and that's definitely worth a firmware upgrade...
