Tried searching the miscellaneous groups but didnt see anything. Any motorcycle riders here? What is you're ride?
Mine is a 07 Vulcan 900 Classic. This picture does not show the 10 inch mini apes or the green accent lighting.
Looking to purchase a second for a bobber project!

I'm in the middle of turning a 71 Yamaha CT1 175 into a street worthy restromod. Serious race porting, over sized reed block, expansion chamber exhaust, 12v conversion, close ratio gears... with be a 30+ HP 180lbs back road screamer. This is the ghost I started with

but I'm currently helping a guy sell off some of his bikes and he has offered me a deal I cannot pass up on this 1965 Sportster...

I spent years on bikes from mopeds like the Honda c50 and the Yamaha FS1E at 16, then worked my way up the CC's riding things like Yamaha RXS100, Suzuki X7 250, Kawasaki KR1S, Yamaha RD350LC and YPVS, Suzuki RGV250, Kawasaki ZXR750 H2, Kawasaki ZX7R P5, Kawasaki ZX10R 2005 model & Yamaha FZR 600, Honda Blackbird.

I used a bike as my sole transport up until about the age of 20 and sold the ZXR 750 H2 to get my first car then got the ZX7R to ride as a hobby when i could afford it.

Then got sick of the English weather, crowded roads and general condition of the surfaces and thought i'd pushed my luck enough after 20 odd years of adrenaline rushes.

Used to ride, does that count?

I use to myself... I own currently, but haven't ridden in years. My last bike was a 78 KZ400 I got from a friend when my Norton 850 Commando decided to no longer stay in gear... that had to be in the early 90s! I relocated and just never got around to picking up another bike.

Love that Sportster!!

me too, I hope the deal works out! I'm not a big Harley fan, my Sister & Brother in Law have them... and a few friends. This one is old enough and unique enough that it kind of suits me.

Here is my Grandmother in 1936 on a Harley :)

I've never understand the fascination with Harley's. I've tended to go for sports bike because of being a fan of racing but i've never ridden anything in the style of a Harley.

I have hired motocross style bikes on holidays before and loved cruising around Greek islands on them
I gave up trying to explain it years ago.
Rent one & go for a spin if you get a chance, you'll see....:)

Me either, but my first street bike rides were on an AMF era Sportster. I remember getting laughed at in the 80s because I thought the new Yamaha Virago was the nicest Harley I'd seen or ridden :p

The one I'm getting suits me with the sport seat and drag bars. If fit wasn't so cheap, I'd definitely pass it by. I prefer British twins and/or late 60s - mid 70s 2-strokes (Yamahas specifically).

That is the premise of the bike I'm building. Around town to dirt roads to sandy beaches... light and maneuverable with enough grunt to get out of its own way.
