Hi,

I just ordered a pyrex tank for a DID clone, looking forward to it - but I've been unable to locate an actual DID clone that's in stock. Preferably one that the air hole lines up properly with the wick.

I can't yet post in the 'Where can I get a.... ?' forum, so apologies for the post being here, instead.

Thanks!

Thanks. I just looked, it's perfect - except it has brass nuts on it. Wonder if I can find some SS nuts elsewhere, if I can't find another clone.

Was going to recommend the one I grabbed here, but looks like they went on pre-order. Still a great unit and great price. SS drip tip is really nice too. Grabbed some Griffin clear tanks for it also. Plenty out there though, just go through the vendor list and visit their sites to check. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Yeah I was looking at that one along with the discount vapors model. I went with a non-griffin clear tank, and got a pyrex one. I'm not a fan of plastic.

Just got my second mini-DID Clone. First was all metal. Second Has the clear tank. I like the idea of Pyrex but the standard clear tank fits so much nicer. https://free-cigs.3dcartstores.com/Vulcan-DID-Clone--Rebuildable-Atomizer-Tank-Clear-Tank_p_157.html

All metal is down to $18.99

Yeah, the IBtanked bevel is nice, but it changes the whole look of it. The plastic one is a bit more streamlined.

All the clones i know of do not line up to the airhole when cap is screwed all the way down , sooner or later they will get it right in the assembly process.
The real DID lines up but there more expensive and its best to experiment with the cheap clones before spending such money on one only to find out you really do not like the genesis setups.
Some folks sand down the cap slightly to make it line up , some i have heard change the o- ring and get lucky to get it to line up.
It does make a difference if it does not line up in the vape.

Great advice, thank you. I'll deal with just unscrewing it a bit or sanding it. I paid $17 to experiment as you mentioned. If I end up really liking it, I'll either mill my own or buy the DID if I get lazy. $17 is a lot cheaper than a few hours of my time in CAD and material/machine operation.
