Well I ordered the Volt Standard kit, with the idea of getting x2 650 or 900, but who know after a bit I might be will to get the big one.

I am curious as to why you decided to quit smoking tobacco?

I did post some stories in the blog, about how tobacco came to be.
Some people were wanting some so I posted a couple.

Glad their are 2 of us.
I just got to wondering the other day so I asked.
I like this place , but I think I am coming from a slightly different space than many.
My main reason for wanting to stop burning tobacco is I want to get to a place where I use it for ceremony , but not rolling and smoking it all day long.

Despite being 61 with 49 of it smoking , I am in general good health.
Lungs good , etc.
I do have type 2 diabetes, but I got it under control within a few months of knowing.

I will be out the rest of the day.
Ill check back tomorrow.
Hope you day is a good one.

Unfortunately I was not raised traditionally. All of my traditional knowledge I have learned through working with and for a few tribal agencies that have allowed me to become more familiar with a variety of things.

The main reason I quit tobacco was that 6 weeks ago we welcomed the arrival of our newest family member. A new baby girl, which makes number seven for us. I didn't want to waste any more of my health taking in the absolute negatives, so I decided to cut the negative down to a minimum and hopefully prolong my existence for the benefit of my family.

Far out,
What is her name? Are they all girls?

I was not raised traditionally either.
I found may way 40 years ago and have done my best to walk in a good way.
An old Northern Cheyenne man pointed me down this red road for lake of a better term.
I m more familiar with Cheyenne and Lakota ways than Cherokee or Comanche.
I know just enough Cherokee to say hello , how are you and thanks

I am 3/16 Cherokee, 1/8 Choctaw, and 1/8 Plains Apache. The rest of my heritage Scots-Irish, French, and English.

My paternal Grandfather was raised on the rez in Oklahoma. He is where my Cherokee and French blood comes from. My paternal G-Grandmother was Plains Apache and was also raised on the rez. My maternal Great Grandfather was Choctaw and he, too, was raised on the rez.

Sadly, I know very little about my NA ancestry.

I am 7/16 Cherokee and 1/16 Comanche the rest Scotch, Irish, English,French and Black
on my mothers fathers side I had 2 great great aunts that made the walk. Their father and my great grandmother hid and later moved to just South of Indian Territory so they could be close. I have been told Samuel Young said "Im not cattle I am not registering."
They were full blood. The man my great grandmother married (all I know him by is Papa)was 1/2 Scotch and 1/2 Cherokee

They came from the Overhill District in Tennesse.

Dad's Dad was full blood Cherokee, he also came from the Overhill District.
Dad's side came across with Bowls.
They called him Doc - my cousin has some speculation of why, but I don't know and I never met him because he died when my Dad was 13.

On my Mothers mothers side is where the Comanche comes from. That Great Grandfather was Comanche.

Non of my relatives lived on the rez. Farm folk and gentle.

I was born and raised in Slaton Texas.
Nobody told me anything until I started asking questions. To many things just did not add up.

Do you walk a traditional path?

Because I hangout with more Lakota and Cheyenne than anything I am more familiar with how they do things than I am my own ancestors. I have learned some in the last 30 years.

Well I have just finish my first 24 hours with the new habit.
Have done ok. Avoided 10 tobaccos and did not avoid 5.
