Every one counts and is as important as the other and don't forget I'm on a mini unknown reserve in the middle of Toronto..LOL

When did TO expand that far west? :p
At one time I worked at a building on Truscott Dr. in Mississauga, and we could walk to W-C Blvd in 5 mins.

Back on topic, when I was living in Chilliwack, B.C., I went with a friend to a pow-wow on the rez near there.
It was a spritual meeting in the long house, and I was told white folks never get to see them. I watched in amazement as the Cheifs and spititual leaders did their thing with the shaker sticks, did spirit dances and smoked peace pipes. I distinctly remember one huge gent bringing in a log for one of the fire pits. That thing must have been 4' in diameter and 10' long!
Anyway, I digress. The point is, as I watched one Chief do his spirit dance, he turned and stared right at me. I thought I was in big trouble, and I was about to make a quiet exit. My buddy told me to sit still, and let the Chief tell me off, if he needed to. I swallowed hard and waited to be picked up and tossed out on my keister by the big guy I mentioned earlier.
Instead, the Chief looked my right in the eye and said "You're not white." He shook my hand and welcomed me to the house. I was quite relieved, and watched the rest of the meeting without incident. In my time there, I did get to enjoy several meals of unusual foods. :)
One thing I have to mention is, while doing research into my ancestors, I discovered I am (a very small) part native. How that Chief knew, I'll never know.

Look, I'm trained as a banker and have only recently come back to my traditions and culture (7 years), so my "street and formal education" is all empirical based, show me / prove it, and I am always amazed at what I have witnessed and saddened at what we have all lost.
