Any thoughts on a misbehaving G6 charger?

I have 2 G6 chargers, one I keep in the house and one in the car. I went to charge a battery on the one in the house and it indicated fully charged (light on the tip of the G6 out, blue light on the charger), despite the battery being flat (blinking when used.) I cleaned the contacts and threads and got the same result. Not believing that the battery was bad, I went out to the car and plugged the battery into the other adapter. It worked and began charging as expected.

Has anyone seen a charger act like this? It was working fine a few days ago.

With the house charger, plug it in to the usb, then screw the bat on. Is there any change in the light? do the same with the car charger to compare. I think the house charger just isn't making contact with the battery center post. And does the house charger behave the same not charging any other of your G6 bats?

Or it could be toast. How old is it? It might still be under warranty.
