As luceblueboy points out, NiteLite uses artificial ingredients, but so do the overwhelming majority of other juice vendors/manufacturers. Natural and/or organic eliquids are still a niche market at this point, although inroads are being made, and new vendors who specialize in non-synthetic ingredients are popping up with increasing frequency.

Whatever one's opinion of NLV, it has now become a casualty of its own huge success. Ordering is no longer convenient, and NLV has become, in essence, an insider's club. This is somewhat true of numerous successful juice vendors who accept orders only part-time, but NLV is a particularly extreme example of having to jump through hoops to get their product. I like a couple NLV juices and, luckily, have enough of both to last a long time, probably years. If things remain on NLV's end as they are now, however, my current stash of Bounty Hunter and Gold will be my last ever.

Highbrow has earned my respect and admiration for both quality of ingredients and mixing creativity. I've steered clear of their tobaccos mostly, because Highbrow's RY4 was a bit too 'out there' for me, and mixed reviews of their other six natural tobacco blends have made me cautious. That said, Highbrow's dessert and fruit juices are wonderful, at least most of those I've tried. I love Limoncello, Orange de Sangre, and Cheesecake Torte. All three stand apart from their competition, shining brightly, and in a league by themselves. If juices can embody both subtlety and immense satisfaction in flavor, those three win blue ribbons. I'm not quite as fond of Eve's Delight and Strawberry Lemonade, but that's a personal palate factor, not a criticism of the juices themselves. I haven't tried any of Highbrow's bakery creations yet.

If you order from Highbrow, rest assured that you won't be getting juices made from standard, off-the-shelf flavoring concentrates.

I will second this. I cannot speak for their non-tobacco products, but I too have heard good things about them. However, their natural tobacco's were a no-go for me.

Bill, the rest of your post was well written and thought out as well, good comments.

OK, so after a couple of emails and a phonecall I've ordered Caramel, Creme Brulee and Peach Thymbra from HighBrow. Seems like the Bryan (?) I spoke with was very helpful, even said to ask for a small bottle of sweetner in the 'Comments'. And I like the permanant 10% off if you'll just read the front page for the code. Having to order as a 'Guest' first, then creating an account was a little tricky for a techno-challenged old fart like me, but I managed ! Now wait for more Vapemail and more steeping I guess....

I have tried Highbrow's RY4 and really hated it. Bill Herbst may be right about the sweet and desert flavors so I won't rule them out in the future. Last month I was looking at buying from Nitelite and the site said pay by money order only. I went to the site the other day and it looks like they changed the site completely and they were closed for buisiness.

Highbrow is one of my top two vendors that I purchase from almost exclusively (HHV is the other). I've had 14 of their 44 flavors and plan on working my way through their entire menu very soon. I happen to be one of those that love their tobaccos and I've tried and reordered all of them except menthol. From reading ECF, you either love them or hate them. The tobaccos do have a twangy base to them but a day does not go by that I don't drip Highbrow's Cigar. It just does it for me. Just makes me feel calm...ahhhhh.

Of the three you ordered I have tried their Peach Thymbra. To me, it was a sweeter peach already so try it first without the extra sweetener. They use real ingredients and they are in California and all of their fruits have been excellent and are vapingly authentic. I voted their Pure Pear as my favorite fruit, although lately their tobaccos are in my daily lineup. I also love their Cappuccino Diablo (with extra cream). I voted it my favorite dessert although it's really a beverage I would think. Yum.

I don't think I've ever tried a flavor from Highbrow that I said yuck...all of them are re-orderable to me. And considering my track record with other vendors that's saying something! :) I always order with double flavoring...but I just like a POW of flavor instead of a whimper. After the holidays, and I unlock the credit card, I will be making another order with Highbrow. Robin931's review of the Blackberry Limoncello the other day made me drool...that will be on my next order. As well as Hazulnut Cream, and some more of their coffees and cakes and.....you get the picture. Of course this is my opinion, so order small bottles until you figure out that it matches your palate.

Well, in regards and response to your comments regarding nitelitevapor I agree to it but IT'S ABOUT TO CHANGE....they've pretty much picked up a distributor to help them with their, as you so rightly put it, "Success".

Soon....possibly by the day after Thanksgiving, at the earliest, one will be able to get NLV Bountyhunter and GOLD at www.litecigusa.net ...just look for nitelitevapor under ejuice....it's all gonna get easier.

Vape on and understand that these Vendors probably had no idea that this thing would take off like it did.

Vendors like avejuice.com, vapedudes.com, and nitelitevapor are success stories and we should appreciate them.

While I have not tasted any Highbrow liquids, I did not like my NLV liquids at all. All the flavors had the same odd artificial aftertaste, the caramel tasted burned and like I said, they all left an odd taste in my mouth. The reason I was drawn to them is that they were the best price for as many great reviews as they were receiving, but now they increased there price by 50% so they are no longer the best deal for quality e-liquids. Highbrow even has a 10% off upon front page of their site

My highbrow order was horrible...just sayin, nearly totally non vapable. I have to weaken it with something else just to tolerate it and still wonder why I just didnt stick with heathers on that order.

Curious, did you get the Highbrow Tobacco flavors or dessert/fruit? I've heard good things about their fruit/dessert but bad things about the tobacco flavors.

I got my first order of HHV coming in soon and I'm really hoping for a better experience than I had with NLV

Yeah what did you get? There have only been 2 flavors I really don't care for and that's the clove and the RY4, which was damn near perfect but I can taste clove in it, even though Bryan said there is no clove in it. I love Highbrow, especially the Chai tea and the green tea. I can, and am, vape those all day long they are SOOOOOOOO good and tons of vapor.

Drum,

Oh, I do understand. That's one of the reasons I described NLV as a "casualty of its own huge success." When NLV initially began doing business, I was among the first wave of ECF posters to bang the drum for them on the forums. Despite the slightly artificial flavor that some of us notice in NLV juices, Bounty Hunter was---and still is---a wonderful and seductive juice. Same with Gold. NLV's prices were extremely low ($3.50 for 10ml, $10 for 30ml), and Gene's generosity in giving away large quantities of juice gratis to his core customers quickly became legendary. I know, because I was often the beneficiary of Gene's largesse. I have enough Bounty Hunter to last for 2-3 years (200ml) because Gene gave it to me for free, along with almost every other juice in the NLV line-up! I still have some NLV juices from the early days that are no longer offered (US Marshal, Gold Rush, Saddle Up)!

Over time, however, Murphy's Law intruded. Gene's liquids are manufactured to his specs, and he ran into trouble with source ingredients (a not-uncommon problem) and pricing arrangements. As NLV's popularity accelerated, some fans morphed into rabid fanatics, and the NLV supplier thread turned into (as many juice or mod vendor threads do) a kind of in-group love fest. Maintaining in-stock inventory got dicey, with frequent unavailability of the best-selling juices, and then the credit card meltdown happened.

I have no axe to grind with regard to NLV, nor do I wish to rain on Gene's parade. He's got his hands full, I'm sure. I'm just saying that NLV's wild journey as a winner of "vendor popularity lotto" has taken it out of my personal comfort zone. Then, too, I've been on my own journey with juices, so perhaps I've evolved away from NLV as much as it has grown beyond me.

Soon....possibly by the day after Thanksgiving, at the earliest, one will be able to get NLV Bountyhunter and GOLD at Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA ...just look for nitelitevapor under ejuice....it's all gonna get easier.

I'm still learning here, so I thought I'd start this thread just asking about two Vendors I've seen referenced so often here at ECF. Sounds like NLV outgrew itself, and congrats to 'Gene' on what is appearently a successful enterprise. But I think his success is not without growing pains. Last night I visited both sites; NLV had 15 products listed including four sweet/fruit vapes I might be interested in. But LiteCigUSA only had eight NLV flavors listed, and while Capparillo and Sundance V2 were listed, Vanilla Strait and Fruit 3 were not. Hopefully this is just a minor glitch, and as time passes LiteCig will carry a more complete line of NLV (?). And, of course, whenever a Distributor (or middleman) is involved, there will be a slight increase in cost to the consumer.....
