Any updates on the GLV ??

Just wondering what the latest updates are as well as to put my unanswered question about a 510 adaptor here, as the post in the suppliers forum is so far long down the listings.

OK, the 5v does not have an LED , so we are good there.

im sending off the prototypes tomorrow for review, keep in mind that the only difference , is the look of the body.

pre-order will start this this friday.

not sure on the shipping time frame, but i will know very soon.

the 510 adapter wont be available for a month or so, but will come in a 4 pack of adapters. i have to do it that way because they are such a small part that it cost as much to make 1 as is does to make 4, and i would like to keep them cheap.

A (4) pack eh ?? Does that mean a (4) pk of all 510 adaptors ?? Are they actually considered a "consumable" that will need replacing ??

Approx cost of the (4) pk ??

the 4 pak will be 401 , 801, 510 , and ? atomizer for the 4th. they will not need to be replaced.... it comes as a 901

Jaybird, if I ordered a 801, it would come as a 901 but with 4 801 adapters? Could I use these adapters on my mag mod 901 to convert it to a 801?

Greg, a little more confusion, you mean 4 different adapters? Not 4 different atty's? I assume he is not supplying 4 different atomizers, we would have to order those on our own? And if we are getting 4 different adapters, we all need to wait a month, since 510's are part of the 4 pack?

Yes, my mistake....... I meant I believe he means (4) different "adaptors".

And, so far, it looks like we have a lil wait ahead of us for the adaptor pack. Guess it'll be worth it to have a truly impressive looking device should it perform as anticipated.

yep 4 different adapters. not sure if they will come with attys yet, need to get a price set on the parts first.

Jaybird, are you going to be selling a basic version without atty's, battery's, chargers etc...? And how is it gonna be regulated to 5 volts, I have both kinds of cr123's 3volt and 3.6volt will either be brought down to 5v?
And don't worry about the 510 adapter, get to working on the 801 first! Smokum says he is willing to wait another few months!

yep i im going to offer the basic version for 75$ for the 3.6v and $90 for the 5v. the 5v uses a resistor to knock down the volts to 5. -5.5v ..ish. it would knock down 6v to about 3v ..ish, but iv never used the 3v batteries so im not sure. ill be back later on today with pics of the final product...stay tuned!! lol
