Any veterans prefer plain old cartos?

I'm still fairly new to this but I have tried several delivery systems and I think I like cartos.
My Twist kit came with 2 x 3 ml tankomizers - they were awesome or tasted terribly burnt.
Tried a few clearos - inconsistent.
Attys - got some yesterday and I felt kinda ill after using them and didn't care for the flavor.

Obviously cartos are convenient, but is it strange to prefer the flavor from a carto?

Only had a couple issues:
1.) Tried some SR 510's and it's too airy, had great results with LR though.
2.) filled one with Boba's and it is working, but tastes burnt, too thick? I tried Boba's with the atty too and I think I'm the only person around who doesn't like it - at all.

As much as it goes against my nature, I think I have decided to keep it simple and stick with XL cartos and the one juice I truly love.

Jonny.....I have tried numerous tanks....and I prefer cartos. To me, the tanks mute the taste of the juice. I like the single coil XL Resurrectors from Crystal Clear vaping. These are the only cartos I use, and I have tried a bunch of different ones. So, I know there is at least one veteran who still uses cartos and will until they invent a tank that can give me the same taste as my cartos.

Lots and lots of vapers are using cartos. It's just that a lot are using them in the carto tanks. You get your vapor from the carto; but don't have to refill as often. Even though I have only used CE2s (clearomizers) for the past year+; I'll freely admit that they don't always work 'right out of the box'. If you've found something that you like, stick with it; that's why there are different options out there.

You might want to try the carto tanks. They're often sold as "DCTs" (Dual Coil Tanks), but it's not necessary to use dual coil cartos in them. These tanks let you see the eliquid level available to the carto so that accidentally vaping your carto dry should not be an issue.

Here's a picture of one of the tanks:

I use 100% PG juice that's clear yellow in color and thin. Cartos love thinner, clearer juices that soak in immediately. Thick juices, dark juices, and most anything that's high in VG won't work well in a carto unless you thin it with water or pure grain alcohol (the drinkable kind, not rubbing alcohol).

I use Boge cartos and Smoktech DCT carto tanks for a good vape (The DCT Tank pictured in a previous post). I find the DCT tank to deliver great taste and clouds of vapor with the right juice.

Fill your cartos this way the first time. After that, you can add drops as the filler turns white during vaping.

I can taste the filler in regular cartos and I've vaped my very last one ealier this month. Blech! Like vaping ejuice that has been strained through a dirty tshirt. All filler cartos burn - see 'dangerous carto thread' and the 'autopsies'.

With a few exceptions (and I think it's the glue not the plastic (like early CE's)), I get no taste from tanks. eGo tanks for me are close to dripping. So are the CC cartos (coil changeable cartos) from Heaven gifts and vision stardusts, etc.

I buy Boge LR cartos 10 boxes at a time. And I DIY my own VG juices, but keep them on the thin side for a carto. I pop the cap out and put a drip tip on them. On a twist at 4.2V they are awesome. Yes, after a while they get a tired taste to them, but they can be cleaned well in boiling water and reused at close to new status. I get mine at $5.40 a box of 5, and as long as I vape lighter juices or unflavored in them they last a long time. Over time the resistance will increase, but on a VV that's fine.

I also use DCTs and attys. VG does not like CE-type clearos, cartos or tanks, even thinned. But a Boge LR is just great to me. Consistent, reliable, easy to drip in to top off, and massive vapor.

People have very strong opinions about what they like or do not like in vaping. Everyone is different. Vape what works for YOU!
