What kind of atty? Try loosening up the cart so that it barely stays on but allows air flow - or try pulling out the contact on the atty to create more of a distance between the atty and the battery. if you do the latter do not tighten the atty onto the batt as tightly or you will just push the contact down again.

I bought 2 new attys, and one of the two has a considerable harder draw than the other. Has any one found a way to correct a hard draw on an atty? any way to easily mod it? I did pull out the wick threads and that helped ever so slightly, but it is still much too hard for me

What kind of attys are they? Have you tried blowing them out?

With 501's Ive seen that the clear gasket between the atomizer body and center post can slide down and cover the side holes. Take a look at both holes on the side of the atomizer to make sure they are cleared and nothing is blocking. I would very gently push the gasket above the side holes with a needle or something. Ive seen some 501's without the side holes though, so that may not even apply to you.

If thats not the problem Id give it a good rinse with hot tap water, dry/blow it out, and load it back up.Sometimes that primer junk they add to new atomizers can gum up and block airflow.

If you are using polyfill for cart filler that can clog an atty (the little fibers work their way down into the pot area). Use a little interdental brush to gently remove them but take care not to snag the fiber that sits under the wick (you don't want to remove that, it will ruin how your atty works and it is supposed to be there!).

The brushes work in any atty. Amazing what a difference it can make in how an atty works to clear those out once in a while. The brushes can be found at drug stores and sometimes at a dollar store. If you don't know what they are/look like, you can do a google search. Buy the smallest brush type you can find with the thinnest handle.

I quit using polyfil for that reason and now use AquaClear foam for my carts.

Also, try blowing them out at both ends. That works well also. I find that VG juice will clog my 510 a bit more than PG based juice.

Oh, I forgot about that! Here is a great thread with pictures that talks about the problem and terrific pictures of the inside of a 510 atty and that plastic piece if you don't know what all the parts look like!
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/48467-510-atty-disassembly.html

Post #4 ScottBee told about discovering the melted plastic piece. Yet another reason not to huff on a 510 so it gets really hot and to let it cool a bit before if you notice the outside metal is really warm. That'll make it happen for sure.

I have to wonder if a heated large darning needle inserted through the battery side opening could open back up that plastic port again once it melts? I've never had that happen to a 510 *knocks on wood*.
