Has anyone else experienced a hard draw on an M401? It seems like everyone says these draw easy. Mine feels pretty comparable to sucking a milkshake through a coffee stirrer. Compared to my N4081 and DSE901, I prefer the 401 for better vapor production and hit, but the draw seems very hard.

Draw seems the same whether the battery is connected or not. Draw is slightly easier with the end of the cart drilled out, but still much harder than the 901. That leads me to think it's the atomizer, but I just got 3 new ones from absolutely and they're all the same.

I'd like to order another brand of atty, but I am not sure which ones would definitely be from a different manufacturer.

(And yes, I know a Dura 510 will solve all my problems, but I have too much invested in 401s now!)

I've had my 401 for a couple days. I haven't found any draw issues here, but I did have a little trouble at first.

My ah ha moment was watching the video on filling Evo cartridges. The techniques used there are exactly the same for the 401.

I use a paperclip to push the inner cup part out of the cartridge. and put a few drops of juice into it. Then I use the paper clip to make sure the fiber is soaked and even with the lip of the cup. I then press it into the cartridge by pushing along the side. I then place it over the atomizer and poke the paperclip through the hole in the end, and press the inner part against the atomizer. I don't push it in too hard, just enough to ensure contact with the atomizer. This usually gives me about 15 to 20 great puffs.

One of the joys of the 401 for me over my 901, is that I've never gotten any juice in my mouth with my 401. Good strong hits.

BTW, my atomizer is a 4 hole.

Happy Vaping

oh gawd yes. VERY hard draw. Have to mouth it like a straw to keep my airway open and suck like a banchee to get some vapor.

I got out a magnifying glass last night and saw what looks like 6mil plastic (under magnification) around the outside base of the atomizer. I'm wondering if this is a QC problem, or design.

I agree the draw is the same with/with out the battery. Just not enough air flow. If it's not the cart, then it has to be the pressure sensor that sends air through it... or whatever it's called.

I'm pretty well done fooling with it. The size is great.. the battery life is short (few hours) because you kill the battery sucking so hard trying to get a hit.

If the price is right, I'm going to try Pure Smokers new USA made offering when it comes out.

I don't want to start a new thread for this so i'll ask here. I don't mind the semi hard draw on this but my problem is that i can't get any throat hit from this device. I have tried dripping with 18mg juices and also tried the fresh "High" carts that came with it but i get nothing. Also the vapour is kinda poor compared to DSE 901 for example. From 901 I can get a good hit with any nic juice I have. Is there something wrong with my atomiser or is this thing really so weak?

Also test to make sure it's not the battery. Draw on the atomizer connection end of the battery and see if you experience the same issue with draw strength. I have several batteries that are like this, probably due to a faulty switch or liquid getting into the battery itself.

I bley though the led end of a disconnected battery and tons of juice started coming out. I set the battery aside with the atomizer side down for 3-4 days and it began working as it should once all the liquid drained out.
