FDA tobacco Compliance Webinars

FDA Center for tobacco Products (CTP) is hosting a series of webinars on federal tobacco regulations. These webinars are designed to provide FDA tobacco compliance education and information to retailers and small businesses.

May 29, 2014 - Time: 10:00 AM EDT
Retailers and Small Businesses – FDA’s Proposed Regulation – “Deeming Tobacco Products To Be Subject to the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as Amended by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act; Regulations on the Sale and Distribution of Tobacco Products and Required Warning Statements for Tobacco Products”

FDA Tobacco Compliance Webinars

About 45 minutes long..

I like the Mediasite Player version better..

Can't guarantee that you won't try to reach through the screen with your hands in the choking position... :)

Sorry if this has already been posted..

LOL! I just signed on to post this myself. Guess we were listening to the same thing tonight. The woman in that video is seriously annoying. Though I have to say that the one informative thing I got out of the webinar is the following email askctp@fda.hhs.gov. With all of the ambiguity surrounding the proposed rule with respect to vaping I kind of just want to email them and try to get some solid answers about components and parts vs. accessories. I also think it gives me a better sense of how I should go about writing up my comment.

I watched the webinar in real time. A very disappointing "disinfomercial" IMO. Nothing new; how could they expect to offer even a cursory overview of 240+ pages in 45 mins? And they definitely need a different, more professional presenter (Take voice lessons, Ms. Voss, and for heaven's sake, STOP SMIRKING!).

My comment immediately after it ended: I felt like I'd just sat through a 6th grade civics class.

I think what got me most was how smug they came across, as if what the FDA is doing is actually good for people, when in reality they're harming those they're supposed to protect...

Neither of them were very polished speakers, so I'm forced to conclude that they presented as they actually felt: Smug (=arrogant and complacent).

(A new word just popped into my head which I think applies here: Smugugly.)

It's like, Juilie and randy from valley girl got jobs as an FDA spokes person.
That movie just kept flashing through my head the whole time.
