6V with a dcc doesn't need to be lifted to my ear to hear...LOL. I press and vape or pay the price of fried vapor flavor.
Anybody else do this?

I do it when using cartos. And I always hold the button before the draw, carto or cart.
The popping sound is comforting to me now, when i started i thought i was doing something wrong!!! ego mega dual coil cartomizers gotta love em!!
no you are not wierd i do this my self i think it makes the vapor thicker from the first pull.
I like to preheat for a few seconds as well. I've never held it up to my ear though, lol.
no need to put those anywhere near your ear, the neighbors hear those puppies cracklin
I like to give my PV a quick half-second pre-heat before I draw on it, and I've gradually developed the habit of holding it up to my ear as I do this, so I can hear it crackling.

Yep, I do both.....funny that we've all probably done at least one or the other....
i too do the preheat and listen before vaping, mainly because ive had a couple issues with my vv box but ive since fixed those problems but i have developed a habit of listening for the crackle
