My kGO is the only PV I have right now, and it's the only thing helping me cut back my analog smoking. My daily routine is to keep one charging while I use one to vape, which I assume is pretty common, but this time I pulled out the "charged" one and the LED light started blinking indicating that it was out of battery.

Fair enough, I decided to plug it in again, but the light on the USB wire showed green, which indicates it is charged. I plugged in the other batter and let that go through the night, but it was alerting me it was dead when I unplugged it a few hours later.

Is that just my charger being wonky and broken? It doesn't show a red light anymore to indicate it is charging, and all my batts are dead now and are unable to charge. Has this happened to anybody before, and if it has, was it the charger? Did you replace it? Or could my batteries be ruined?

I'm sorry if this issue has been addressed before, I'm awful at searching forums.

Maybe...the battery has a 4 or 5 click turn on/off feature. I have 2 or 3 batteries with this feature which seems to work as it wants to and certainly doesn't provide any useful protection. If your battery has this feature it will blink when you push the button just like it does when it needs to be recharged. Try clicking it 4 or 5 time quickly and see if it works.

I use the feature all the time :) . Unfortunately that's not what's going on this time. I'm a very sad man without my vapor.

Try cleaning your contacts on both the battery and charger really well. Although it isn't recommended when I started vaping I had 1 battery that wouldnt charge intermittiently so I would bang it on a wall and it would charge. Batterys going bad was one of the biggest reasons I switched to mods and havn't looked back.

Had one do that just tonight. Looks like a little juice leaked onto the battery contact which prevented it from getting a full charge. (lasted about a minute before flashing dead). Cleaned it off and it charged without a problem. See if your other battery acts the same, if so I would suspect the charger but it might just be a dirty battery.

What have you been using on them? Anything really low ohms?

Take a tissue and make sure there is no liquid or dried juice residue in the charger threaded connection or on the battery threaded end. I always wipe my battery threaded end with tissue or t-shirt before putting it on a charger. Otherwise juice residue can build up and make the connection intermittent. And obviously actual liquid will short it.

And try unplugging your charger from power (without the battery on) and replugging it in, then try putting the battery on. Sometimes a charger gets confused and that may fix it (one of my chargers does that)

Also never screw things in or on any further than what's needed to get an electrical connection. Otherwise you can end up pressing the center post of the battery in too far to connect with the charger or some cartos/attys.

And a bit late now but always have spares for every part of any ecig you depend on and that includes chargers.

BTW - what is your power source for the charger and does it put out the voltage and at least the mA the charger cable wants as input? And a PC motherboard (only!) USB puts out 5v 500mA. An unpowered hub is mystery power, reduced by other items on it. I use 4 port 2 amp (2000mA) AC to USB adapters that can charge up to any 4 batteries so I know I have a stable supply for my battery charging that is also safe from me getting static shocks on the PC keyboard.

I've cleaned both Kgos with a qtip and cleaned the charger as well, lots of gunk got off both. They were vaping perfectly fine until they touched the charger, and they still seem to work, but they just can't charge I assume.

I'm not sure what OHM the carto is, but I know it's a joye 306 LR. The power source for the charger is beyond me, I plug it into the wall. (I'm awful with electric terms).

Loss of the power on LED indicator on the charger would make me highly suspicious that the charger itself is dead. Do you get no power on LED on the charger if a battery is connected to it or not? If that's is true: Step 1: Replace charger.

How long have you had it? Is it still under warranty? I would definitely contact your supplier and ask about warranty replacement if you haven't had it very long.

:( I've had the same thing happen with my Riva. All good advice here - you could try a center post adjustment; very gently try using something like an eyeglass screwdriver or thin tweezers - and see if you can gently pull the center post up a bit - try one side a lil bit and then the other. It might help for better contact with the charger. Sadly, it could be a combo of the two - bad charger and batt just not working anymore...sadly unless you're inside 15 days from purchase...... I feel your pain. The upside here on a cup half full note - at least it's the holidays and if you look around - sales everywhere :)

I've seen this happen too often...it's your charger but it could also have damaged your batteries. Replace the charger and see if your batteries will take a new charge. If not, they're toast also. Chargers sometimes will overcharge the batteries which causes permanent damage and can't be fixed. It's work at least getting a new charger and trying it out.

Yep, from what you said, and from my own suspicion, I believe it's the charger that has gone bad. At least I hope so, I love my Kgo very much. My cousin has his charger that will fit, so I'll try that tomorrow.

I'll give the supplier an email, but I doubt they'll do anything for me.

NOTE: JUST BECAUSE A BATTERY WILL FIT ON A CHARGER DOES NOT MEAN IT'S THE RIGHT CHARGER TO USE!

For many reasons, make sure your cousin's charger is designed to work with your Kgo battery. If the current level is too high, if it has the wrong polarity, among several other potential compatibility problems using an improper charger on a li-on battery will definitely kill the batteries as well.

Thank you for the heads up, that could have ended up badly. He has a Volcano Inferno, I figured it was similar enough to be ok. Any idea?

Really it is a simple solution. I had this happen to me.. so I know the issue.

When you have a chance.. make sure you have backup chargers. Over time because of the ejuice getting into things it is inevitable that your charger gets abused.. and it will fail.

There is no point in being dainty about it and cleaning it all the time.. it will get crapped up and it will fail. Just keep an extra backup for when the day comes.

I kept saying to myself early on.. I should keep a spare charger.. but hungry for new batteries I put my money into that and of course lots and lots of ejuice.. you can't have enough of that either.

Then.. I noticed my batteries were doing the weird weak response after being charged.. when I cleaned the charger connection it then failed totally.. thank god it doesn't take too long to order a charger and in a few days I was ok.

I did get to that point... where I was wondering if I could make it until my charger arrived.. but finally it did.

Make sure you have backups!!! (and make sure you have the high current output charger for your ego.. you can hurt your battery if you have the wrong charger.. important note)
