Is anyone planing to buy a "Joker", the newest up-coming 5V high-end
PV from the folks at Vaprlife?

Their website says it's due to hit the market in Spring of 2010.

From the discription and pics on their website, this looks HOT! and
they are boasting that it will set the "gold" standard for PV's.

I dont know anything about the price yet, or if they have decided on one.

Aside from me, is anyone else excited about this?

Does anyone have any "insider" gossup on what this is going to be like?

Cant wait to see the first reviews on this beast :)

I am looking forward to them coming out as well. I own A VP1 adjustable draw, VP2 Adjustable draw, a spade and the VP-PT.

Sounds like you are very familiar with their products and workmanship.

How would you rate them compared with the other high-end 5V pV's like
Silver Bullet, Prodigy, Super T, etc. ?

I have been satisfied with the quality of all the units, I also like the adjustable draw feature that you can order on them. The VP1 and Spade use a 10440 batt and of course there is not to much life in that, but they are both decent mellow vapes.

As far as 5v PV's are concerned, the only ones that I am currently aware of are the prodigy, GLV and a 5v box mod made by cybervex, maker of the Bartleby (3.7v)

As for the other Pv's you mentioned, the Silver bullet is a solidly built unit and performs well, I just got the double barrel head for it the other day. The super T is nice but right now since there has been issues with the use of unprotected cr2 batteries, I would hold off and see what David at Super T is going to do to alter the unit to fit protected cr2's. As for the prodigy, I am kinda suspicious of it. My V1 had a switch problem that had to be replaced and the V2 units have had switch issues as well that the maker claims to have a fix for. Personally, I would stay away from it till the dust settles.

I have the VP2 and the VP PT and I love them both. I can't wait until the Joker comes out since I know Vaprlife's products are good and I know from using the VP PT plugged into the wallplug is at 5v and I've found that to be what I prefer. One more reason to look forward to Spring. And that's when my birthday is so I have an excuse to get a new PV without feeling the slightest bit guilty about spending money for something I just plain want, but don't really really need :).

Tuna, I own a VP Spade & the VP PT, both are high quality products.

I also own the BB and the BB PT, also high quality, absolutely bombproof.

You can't go wrong with either manufacturer IMO.

Cool, what would you say the draw is like when inhaling for a puff.
Would you say it's light and easy, or a little harder, with a bit of resistence?

I have both a VP2 and VP PT. Both are wonderful PVs. The Joker is what I wish the VP2 had been, just because I know now that I want and need 5V. I am considering the Joker vs SB primarily because I've found I like the LED feedback. But the SB is so damn cool-looking, and the advent of the double-atty top kind of pushes it over the line for me. I'm willing to drill some vents in the SB body to allow for a bit of exhaust should unprotected batts go bloowey. Joker is a cool device though, no doubt about it.

I consider all my models to be "easy draw", not "airy" or "weak", just "easy"...like a real smokes I suppose.

To be totally honest though, I think draw is more down to atties, when I feel that the draw is getting a bit harder, it's time for the atty to be cleaned (thats how I operate anyways, but other folks may have different ideas). :)

Like I said, you can't go wrong with either manufacturer, you will get a great product which ever model you go for.

What kind of batteries will the Joker use?

It will use 2 RCR123A 3V batts, but it's going to be a 5V unit.
I assume they have a resister in there to limit the voltage to 5V!?

P.S. their website does not say if there is a 3.7V option using a 18650, so I assume
it's only option is 5V.
