Hi all,
I'm thinking about upgrading my eGo/1000 mah bat setup, with something a little more less expensive (battery wise) in the long run, and more hitting power (5Volts).

So, has anyone here bought the new Joker AV or VP Turbo AV from Vaperlife?

They both use a new Pulse technology which enables the batteries to last 60 to 80% longer.
I guess the power pulsates instead of a constant flow which cuts down on the usage from the bats.

They're both probably the nicest looking pv's i've seen out there. I'm not into stuffing a stick of dynamite in my pocket (large Pv's) and stickin it in my grill in public, so that's why i'm leaning towards these. (no offense to anyone who likes sticks of dynamite in their grill)..heheh.

But i also like the PUresmoker Icon. The joker looks better then that too, but i've heard some not so good things about the early jokers...but that was over a year ago, and on youtube haven't heard a negative thing on em, so i'm guessing everything's been str8tn'd out.

And I have 1 more question:

I hate clearomizers, fluxomizers whatever, they work good for 1 use then they basically suckass.
I've heard nothing but good about Boge Cartomizers, are they really good ? Has anybody bought them here and like them?

And i've heard good and bad about the ego tank, is that thing better or do you still have to use basically PG for it to Wick, and you can't take alot of puffs or the juice won't wick in time for the next toot.

Well, that's it for my questions....lol....alot to read, hope i can get some help and perhaps get some info to help others who might be in my shoes and on the fence about a new PV or what's working for real or not in the real world (boge carts, tanks) thanks!!!

Before I tried the new Fluxomizers when I used cartos I used the Boge Soft Cap exclusively. They are reliable taste good and great vapor. Some people have had success cleaning them but I never did so I refilled them till they started tasting funky and threw them away.

I've since gone to the fluxomizers for one reason. They don't have filler and are very easy to clean so I can reuse them much longer than I could a Boge Carto. I know you said you don't like them but you should be getting way more than 1 fill with them. They probably just need cleaning which is easy to do by either removing the tube and rinsing all the juice off pat the wicks dry with a paper towel, put the tube back on and do a dry burn. Or you can flush the liquid out with the tube on using a syringe and needle. After that and a dry burn they look and vape like new again. here's a video that shows the basics, might get you some more life out of what you have.

thanks for the link: i've tried the washing too, i was on youtube checking out the cleaning of clearomizers, but then after putting back together, the seal at bottom would start to leak. And when i'd use the syringe to fillem up, the plastic ring would tilt toward the syringes placement, the pressure of putting it in would mess that up, so all in all it's a mess i guess.
I love dripping, but it becomes a hassle when trying to drip at night in bed while watching t.v ya know.lol.
Thanks tho for your help.
Now, how about my other question, the Joker w/pulse technology...you should check that out man, it's way way cool lookn!

One thing I watched on youtube about the Joker is that the switch in them can get goofy. They also have a terrible warranty. After the warranty expires, they want just about as much to repair it as they are new.

I have an Icon that I use for work and love it. Nothing to break and hits every time. You won't go wrong for the money. I also have 2 Prodigy V3's that I love.

Another very nice mechanical mod is the Megalodon. This baby takes just about any battery you throw at it.

Boge cartomizers are just about the only thing I use the most of. I also like Ikenvapes carto's and I have some Nhaler's coming. I got away from ce2's. I still have a bunch but just wanted something different to vape so I went back to filler types and I don't regret it. CE2's are still not perfected by any means...and until they are, I'm not buying anymore.

Although I absolutely despise Vaprlife, the customer service, and the garbage products, in all fairness you really cannot compare an all mechanical FV Icon to an electronic VV Joker. The Icon is a lot smaller and all steel. The Joker is a big tube mod out of Al.

(My issues: a DOA product, 6 days to get a first response and a snotty one at that, 2 more days of runaround, said I had had it and wanted a return, and cost me extra express postage because they wanted it back in 2.5 days for a refund. Oh, there was a restocking fee: $40 out the window for not one decent vape!). Forgot, they guaranteed me a 5 day turnaround......do you question their sincerity when it takes them 6 days to answer an email on a DOA product?

I have an Icon. It is a nifty little mechanical PV with a good sized battery (14500) and my go to device when I am moving around. An alternative is the ePower which does have a regulated circuit. If you want VV, there are other alternatives: Infinity and Buzz, Big Brother, at roughly the same price as the Joker and the more expensive units such as the ProVari and Darwin.

If size is an issue, stay with the Icon and ePower (at around $50 for a kit, you really cannot go wrong). The Big Brother is not bad for the money, is compact, and vv.

The Joker is not a small unit. I had my issues at the end of last year and do not remember if it has a PWM circuit, but I really doubt that a PWM will give you 80% more vaping capacity. The batteries on the Joker are tiny to begin with-123 style which are notoriously overrated from China. If one were to compare a regulated eGo with an all mechanical 14500 Icon of roughly the same mAh, you will not see much difference.

If you want quality, go with the ProVari. I have one of those too: great unit with features that bury a Joker and a build quality that is fantastic. I keep a Buzz in my other office. It is not pretty, but it just keeps on working.

As far as the last generation of cartomizers is concerned, I have been waiting and finally took the plunge. I have a batch coming in from gotvapes along with another ePower.

I would keep the eGo and get a variable voltage mod. Use the eGo when size is a concern and vv can cover you when you want >3.7v vaping.

So many great vv mods around from vendors who offer good customer service and quick repairs (if needed). It would be a shame to see someone pick a vaprlife product over something like a buzz, infinity or provari imo.

Basically I would keep shopping and watching reviews.

IMHO, ce2 truly defective rate is less than 10%. (These few are caused by the coil wrapped too tightly around the wick & strangling the juice flow, and cannot be repaired. Welcome to China.) The other 90% can be attributed to operator error.
Just my :2c:

So your sayin i can't friggin twist on a clearomizer like u? Are there some hidden operational tricks that have eluded me and my hours on youtube and the like?
Funny , i thought they made shizz to be easy, easy enuff for a monkey (u) to do it! lol.
Thanks for the shot at me....but was hallow in content...since everybody puts their pants and cartos on the same dam way...

Wow, thanks for the post and the valuable insight into vaperlife...i knew i heard something funny about em, now it's confirmed. F-them!
I'll try an infiniti, i was at notcigs.com and saw them too, and i saw provari, but 160 bucks is alot of bread in this economy, tho it looks awesome!
I will check out your suggestions, but i don't want a buzz mod, that's too big...i don't want people staring at me and my pocket won't hold something that big with ease ya know...
But i will stay away from vaperlife.....2 bad posts on this thread..that's 100% neg reviews for me...thanks tanyor!

All I can say is I am glad that I did not read a thread like this one before I purchased my Joker AV about 5 months ago. Maybe I just got lucky, but in the time that I have had it, it has performed flawlessly. It seems well made, and for a larger mod, it is light weight and sleek looking. The variable voltage feature adjusts easily and functions well. The only drawback I can find is the battery life, which is approx. 4 hrs. at 5V no matter which of the recommended batteries I use. It's your call, but I would not rule out the Joker so quickly. In my experience, so far, the Joker has delivered great bang for the buck, when it comes to variable voltage devices.

I wish that I had read a similar thread before my wretched experience with the Joker and Vaprlife's customer service; it would have saved me some $40 for not one solid minute of vaping, not to mention the almost two weeks that it took to get a return number and the additional week to get my money back.

Wait! Since you are such a big fan, why don't you step up and refund me the money I lost?

I would have to vote in favor of the turbo, as well. Purchased a few months ago, have only used that PV since (sorry ego!) performs like a champ! light weight, not bulky.. great color choices. Never had a problem with customer service, everything's always been great.. I would suggest doing some more research about them (or any PV company) before you make the purchase, because there always seems to be a person grumbling about something. I am willing to bet that for every person you see grumbling, there are a hundred who are very satisfied :)

My turbo with carto rocks, hands down.. the perfect sweet spot for me!

i have had a joker AV for about a year or so and when it works it is absolutely great.
that said i had to send it in for repair 1 week after i got it and it has been back for repair 2 other times at a total cost to me of about $90. that is $80 just for repairs and $10 for the pulse upgrade the last time i sent it in. the pulse upgrade is for all i can tell useless by the way. i don't notice any improvement in battery life at all. so this sucks. if the Joker AV were reliable i would recommend it over anything i have tried but that has not been the case. on the other hand my cheap hello 016 battery that i think i picked up for $20 and my egos and rivas have worked flawlessly for about a year and a half.

also because of the problems i have had with the Joker AV i have babied that unit since day one.
it never leaves my house. the egos and the hello 016 are thrown around with reckless abandon and i do not worry about them in the least

as for customer service, it has been acceptable. i have gotten emails responded to in a timely fashion. that said i have also gotten a few "you must be an idiot" types of responses as well.
