Hi all,

I've been vaping for a little over a month now (last analog was on 9/19), and have been having alot of fun with it. I started out with a Volcano, and within a few days realized that I needed something more powerful, found this forum, then switched up to an ego (1000mAh - 3.7v) and have been having a great time. I've gone through the experience of destroying a cartomizer trying to figure out how to clean it, etc. I'm finally at a point where I have a pretty stable set up (mostly using mtnvapor's dual coil echo-e - gonna order drip tips to replace the whistle tip soon) and have been exploring different e-liquids. Thanks to all of you on this forum, I've learned a ton of info I would have never figured out on my own.

The transition was surprisingly easy for me. I was a 1/2+ PAD smoker for about 20 years and have tried all methods of quitting many times and have failed each time. It's been so much fun that I forgot about smoking analogs.

Until the other night:

I had a dream where I was hanging out with friends and I reached in my pocket to have an analog cigarette. I remember thinking to myself, "Hey you quit smoking, what the hell are you doing?". I lit one up anyways and enjoyed it. I woke up kinda freaked out but then was relieved that I had been dreaming and did not in fact have a cigarette.

Have any of you had dreams about smoking analogs since you've been vaping?

nope, don't miss it a bit, also why i haven't (and don't want to) try tobacco flavors.

not to derail, but i too got some of the dual coil cartomizers from mtnvapor (great prices on juice), and do like them in comparison to the egoT tanks, but don't find them to be any better/worse than the tanks. although they do have a noticeably lighter draw compared to the tanks (i.e. how much i have to 'suck'). i keep hearing about these drip tips, but not sure what they're supposed to do that's different, care to enlighten?

No! That's so funny! I'll have to ask my sister, she's the one that usually has the strange dreams. She had a dream once that she was a puzzle piece and kept yelling 'pick me'!

I had a dream last night that I got a new vacuum cleaner and I was reallly happy and excited about it about it. How pathetic is my life? I'd rather dream about smoking.

araczynski,

It's been said on these forums that 801 drip tips can be used to replace the standard whistle tips that come with the echo-e carts. Personally, I don't like the whistle tips. I've used a 510 sized anodized aluminum tip that I liked the feel of alot better (that was for dripping with an atomizer, not on an echo-e). I'm also wondering if the drip tips will help with the tight draw of the echo-e. I came across the info here.

heh, I was going to wait to order them, but I think I'll do it now :p

After 35 years of two packs a day and truley loving smoking and I did love it, I thought I would dream about them, crave them to the point of pulling out my hair, need medication for my nerves, kill everyone in my house or have them wish that I had because I was so terrible to live with during withdrawel, but, none of that happened. This has been amazingly easy, right before I saw your post I was thinking to myself how much I love this, all the flavors, all the neat stuff we get to shop and wish for and this forum that is so full of wonderful, sweet, helpful people who are all in this with us and are so willing to take their time and effort to help out those of us that are only a few months in and still have so much to learn. This has been a joy, it really has and I have no doubt whatsoever that it will continue to be in large part due to this amazing support group here and simply the fun of it all.

Yeah, I'm really shocked about it as well. I've used the patch several times, and they did help me quit for a while in the past, but something always happened that got me back on smoking. With vaping, if I quit doing it, I can always go back to it and never have to go back to smoking analogs again. Whether or not I'll eventually quit vaping is a decision I haven't made yet. I'm still very much in the beginning of this whole experience.

Just think, we can vape and stand a good chance of living longer (I'm all for that), plus I'm actually starting to like vaping way more than I liked smoking especially with all the choices we have flavor and hardware-wise. The added bonus of being able to vape inside without smelling up the place is a huge plus for me. And not feeling homicidal trying to quit smoking is a big plus as well :)

Now that you mention it, I actually think I've had one dream where I smoke. I'm not too sure, but I think I was peer pressured to smoke in that dream, or, if not, I at least felt very uncomfortable having done it. It was more a nightmare'ish type of dream than anything else and I was happy to wake up realizing that it didn't actually happen.

I did. Especially when I actually quit analogs cold turkey for 7 years. I think I constantly dreamt about smoking during those 7 years. I missed smoking so much that I started smoking little cigars thinking I could "control it" after 7 years...so much for that grand idea. Next thing I knew I was smoking 1 1/2 PAD of full flavor Kools.

After I started vaping, I dreamt about smoking a little bit, but it didn't persist.

Not at all.. i tried one analog after one week of vaping...after the 1st two puffs it tasted horrible!! i have been a heavy analog smoker for 15 years...tried almost everything to quit or to decrease the rate but nothing prevented me to stop analog for a couple of days in a row...vaping for two months now with Nic % became 6mg without any troubles....that is a great success!!..No bad smell..no burning of cloths..no ashtries..costing decreased by 75 % excluding the first buy for the e-cig

Hi Dreamer... Just responding to the dreaming. I have been vaping since the beginning of the year 2010 (long time analog smoker and have quit many times via many tricks). After getting on the vape machine (I quickly got myself up to dripping on the Ego Tanks), I too had the most fantastic dreams (the good, the bad, and the evil ugly). I thought perhaps it was the nicotine being too strong but was told in fact it was the quitting of the analogs. I think this might be true because after a while the dreams went away. In fact, when they went away was about 3 weeks into the vaping, my lungs decided they could take in more air -- super feeling. But I think your dream was telling you something - that you are afraid of going back to analogs, so don't test this good thing!

I had numerous dreams about smoking cigarettes when I switched over. I even had a dream that I was riding a giant cigarette bomb like in Dr. Strangelove. I also had dreams that I was in a panic because I couldn't find my pack of cigarettes, and then I would remember that I had quit in the dream. Since then I've had a couple nights where I was drinking and ended up smoking analogs when I forgot my PV at home. That's when the dreams went away. I think it was almost like conquering a fear. I did the nightmarish smoking of an analog, then went right back to my PV.
