Anybody know why

youtube links / hyperlinks, I think, are not showing in Safari ? (just got a new Ipad) They show on my PC's using Chrome, FF, & IE. IMG links work so I really don't get it and haven't found an answer searching Ipad forums...... Does Apple have something against ECF.

Apple always has to be different...

I'll pass this along to our coder and see if he can figure it out. It might help if you give us a bit more info, like the forum skin you're using, and your browser version.

Oh my, not sure what the skin is. If my thinking is right, it is the standard ECF default. The browser is Apples safari and from what I gather (not real sure) it's the only browser that works with the iPad to date. (I'm still searching)

Anything that uses flash most likely will not work on an iPad with out some help from an app, due to the fact that apple does not like adobe

the iPad has a native you tube application, plus I go to the you tube site all the time via Safari and never have a problem playing vids at all

You're right I forgot as I don't use mine very often. Just know when I did I had a lot of trouble with flash.

It's the embedded youtube videos that do not show up like in this post.

I have no problems with youtube video hotlinks within threads. Seems it's only the embedded ones.

And it's true, if I want to view any wmv's or certain flash. I use the CloudBrowse app for a Firefox browser experience on the Ipad. It's laggy, and expensive for the full version.

Maybe I will jailbreak it if I can muster up the courage.
