... if Ecigarettecigar.com, vapeape.com and electronic-ash.com are all the same company? The website format is the same and it appears that products/prices are the same.

Signed,

Confused

Richie -

I wondered the same thing. There is at least one more that you didn't mention that has a similar format. So, I was thinking they must have all used the same web design program or something.

I am sure there is a computer guru that will be able to tell us for sure.

Ecigarrettecigar.com and vapeape.com are both of them register to:

Registrant:
Alan Hood
5022 e caballero
Mesa, Arizona 85205

United Stateselectronic-ash.com is registered to:

Registrant:
Andrew Kulyk
31 Pebble Creek Dr.
Cheektowaga, New York 14227
United States

So the first 2 are/have the same people behind it. The other one doesnt.

I had that thought too. But if one is paying for web design and has multiple sites it would follow that he/she would get some sort of a discount from the web designer if he/she is only *tweaking* the design for multiple sites in lieu of created all together new ones. Or, the owner of the site does his/her own creating/tweaking. It just struck me as odd.

Buying e-cig stuff in general can be confusing, at least to me. Click on a web page that has one company name, get a confirmation via e-mail with a different name, send a pay pal payment to another different name and then when the widgits land in the snail mail box there is yet another company name in the return address window.

I haven't had any bad experiences but the whole thing raises my eyebrow. Then again, I'm a NYC kid. Trust isn't something that we do so well outside the home -- sometimes not even there. LOL

All three sites have been setting up with a web ecommerce application called Zen Cart. But they have not skinned them

Thank you for doing the legwork, Ccure.

I don't want this to come off as accusatory of something shady going on. I bought from e-cigarettecigar.com and had a pleasant/uneventful dealing with Alan Hood. 'Tis just a point of interest kind of thing.

to replicate ecommerce site is a commerce strategy. It is not wrong to do it. But maybe Alan can host each ecommerce on a different host, so the link between them will not be that notorious.

Also, the "I have been vaping for ..." banner is a ecommerce strategy. It has a link to a ecig site. the more links a site have from related e-cig sites will cause all the search engines like google to move up that site in the search results list. I do not mind helping the supplier that made the banner. I love it!

So, nothing wrong about it.

I am glad that you guys were able to let me know how it works. The other site I was referring to was suresmoker.com.

This is all very confusing! 8-o I am only buying from a few and will stick with them b/c I have had great success so far.

Thanks to both for unraveling the mystery. :)

Richie - We had a family run store in Howard Beach for 25 years (my DH only worked there for 18) but it was like being in another world. We love it up there and still have many good friends in Ozone Park and love to visit. :D
