anybody switch from attys to cartos?

I have been using a ego twist with a kanger pro tank for 4 months now and it has been hit or miss for me. I see a ton of people using carto tanks and I know everyone has different opinions/tastes but I was wondering if anybody has switched from using clearomizers like vivi's and evods to carto tanks. I don't want to spend money on a mod and I want to keep using a tank system but also don't really have time for rebuilding tanks and getting in dept with anything like that.

Thanks in advance for any help.:)

I started with attys (ATOMIZERS....not cartomizers aka cartos, clearos, or tanks). I tried cartos. Switched back to atomizers and dripping for over 2 years (hate filler and top coil clearos were too hot and juice hungry and limited capacity).

Then came VV and coil-tanks (NOT carto tanks). Problems solved. Tanks are similar to clearos, but bigger. And VV makes it adjustable to a finer degree so it all works out.

rba's seem cool but im just looking for easy good all day vaping for now to keep me off cigarettes. I freaked out when i broke my first nova because i had just got it and ended up smoking a ton of analogs out of frustration lol. but i am getting vape mail today (new heads for the kanger pro) and a new vi vi nova and i will see how i like that before i decide to buy more stuff like a carto tank to try.

iv been using the nova for a while now and have been very pleased with it up untill now. but for 13 bucks its not gonna last forever XD its been leaking into my mouth and just dry burnt hits lately and just getting tired of the tipping and twirling, will be buying the kanger protank soon as it seems to not have those issues with it.

anyways best of luck to you !

did you replace the heads at all?

the real down fall for me is that i don't like the metal drip tip on the kanger pro, I don't really like filling it, and I don't really like the airy draw. but some people seem to love it. Im switching to a evod head to see if that helps. Plus ive been using the stock heads for two months straight. they are dead and i get black juice and no flavor. God i hope this vape mail gets here today! lol

I started with carto tanks as my local B&M basically told me that was the "Gold Standard" of vaping. Then I ventured out on my own and got a couple of Vivi Nova tanks and right at this moment I have an RBA, 2 carto tanks, & 2 Vivi Nova's on me with 5 different juice flavors so that I can rotate. I love both the cartos and clearos. Going to be picking up a Pro Tank this weekend. I do punch my cartos but only because I like a 20/80 PG/VG ratio so my juice is super thick. The two hole cartos from my local shop just don't allow enough juice into them. A third hole does the trick perfectly. IMHO

So there is a carto that is sold that has bigger or more holes or does the majority of cartos on the market need to be punched?

You can punch them yourself or purchase pre-punched cartomizers.

Valley Vapes punches his own cartomizers and they're bigger- but I think he might be closed at the moment.

Ugh! No wonder you aren't liking it. I get, on average, 3 weeks out of my Protank heads before I toss 'em. Get some new heads (box of 5 shouldn't cost you that much), take the top wick out of 'em, and then see how the juice tastes.

I kept reading about how the juice was so much better after removing the wick, but I couldn't be bothered with trying it. Then I got a hold of a light flavored juice that I just couldn't dial in properly with the Vamo. Pulled the top wick out of the head and BAM! All is good. I've since then started pulling the wicks out of all the heads I have in circulation right now. LOL

There are cartos that come both punched and not punched. I personally buy ones that are already punched with two holes. Only because that's what my local shop sells. And then I punch an extra hole in them with a saddle valve. I found a video on youtube where Grimmgreen shows how to punch cartos that way. LET'S PUNCH AND FILL CARTOMIZER TANKS! - YouTube
