i have a protank, some other BCC and an rba and today i throw on a DCT and it was wonderful. no messing with coils, no messing with wicks. the only reason i went with the protanks and such is to cut my cost of buying tons of carts. but I love them.

So would u say its more expensive using a DCT instead of a protank?

Well best deal I have seen on cartos is about $1 each and they cannot be rebuilt.

I can get a protank head for $1-2 and rebuild it many times for pennies. SO technically the protank probably is cheaper long run.

The thing is though which do you like the vape on better? The whole point is to enjoy vaping isn't it? Whats a few cents worth to you.

well i thought about ordering a pyrex carto tank but then i hear a lot of people slotting and punching the cartos to make the holes bigger. that just sound like work i dont want to do. Also do a low res single coil carto work well with a ego twist battery?

The thing is is that punched cartos come with 1 to 3 holes, and I have even seen some with slots, depending on the maker and the liquid, you may or may not need more holes. I use smoketech dual coil carto's with one or two holes and never had to punch extra holes if I vape a 100% pg liquid.

If I vape a 100% vg liquid, I will punch a couple of extra holes. But, that is very easy to do. Most places that sale tanks sale simple hole punchers for less the $8 that are easy for even an elderly arthritic half blind old lady like myself to use and punch a couple of extra holes in less then a minute. And yes, they work well with an ego twist -

I don't know if you saw but Fasttech has 5 packs of the DCT tanks dirt cheap. I got mine yesterday and they are wonderful. Not a leak yet.

I got my vape mail and new heads are def a life saver. But I still want to try carto tanks eventually. I have never tried a carto besides I guess an old electronic cigarette I had that had the disposable cartos and weak tiny battery.

Also I ordered a evod head for my pro tank but vapor alley sent me 5 protank heads on accident. I would be mad but I only spent $1.89 for them lol.
