I'm kind of new to tanks so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I'm using some smoktech DCT's, and I do like them, but I think I would prefer a single coil cart. The dual coil seems to dull the flavor a bit and I get a little more of a burnt taste. Just wondering if anybody sells single coil carts that will fit in these tanks. I'm assuming that everyone knows what I'm talking about but I provided a pic anyway. Thanks for any help.

I'm also using CCV single coil cartos with my DCT. I ordered the pre-drilled ones, less hassle for me. I ran into issues with punching holes back when I tried to make syringe tanks (and thus gave up on tanks until now). Honestly, single coils are probably better for variable voltage devices like the twist, as they are higher ohm, and allow the voltage changes to be more accurate. Less resistance means less variation in voltage, but I could be wrong. Still loving them on my smoktech gripper too.

I get my single coil cartos directly from Smoktech: Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

You can order one or two hole, pre-drilled cartos in 1.7, 2.0, or 3.o oHm resistance for $1.99 each. I use them on my Silver Bullet and BB in several Smoktech DCT tanks.

I just recently switched most of my tanks from dual coil to single coils. I had read some discussion in a couple of threads here that the dual coils don't really fire effeciently unless given around 4.8v power. Given my devices are all 3.7v, I decided to give them a try. I got several in each, one and two hole, at 2.0 oHm. Plus, I read that dual coils are harder on batteries, and work best with the high drain batteries.

I think I like them better than the dual coils. So far I haven't gotten any burnt taste like I occassionally got with the dual coils. The vapor and flavor are similar if not better. I choose the number of holes to fit the viscosity of the juice I'm using.

So far, the only juice that has had wicking issues is my Boba's, which is an extremely thick juice (all vg if I'm not mistaken). I've even attempted to dilute it with some water, but it is still a stiff pull and I find I need to top off the carto frequently.

Also, check into this... For some reason, Boge has been distributing some dodgy cartos lately. CrystalClearVaping is where I buy my Boges and I have never experienced any changes. I always get great cartos from them. No problems. But watch this video and decide for yourself.

hoosierecig.com has them in 1.7, 2.0, or 3.0 ohm. Each is pre-punched with either 1 hole or 3 holes, your choice.
I get my single coils from hoosierecig.com also, they have them for the best price I've found. I prefer the single coil in my carto tanks, I go with the 3.0 ohm and find that it really lets me tweak the voltage to get the best taste.

I had a bit of confusing time there also. I dont know why someone somewhere decided to bring in the name of DCT=dual coil tank. Some people like dual coils some dont. I got a smoke tech DCT, it worked fine, I didnt notice anything different from my phiniac tank with a single coil carto in it. Having single coils around I just ended up using those. Basically all these tanks are is a receptacle to hold juice in. Whether your tank is glass, or any other material again it is just a vessel to hold your juice and a carto/ or clearo/ in it with holes to let the juice get into it. I have since stopped using the smoke tech DCT or CT because it was slippery and came off the carto too easily. So, basically you can use whatever type of carto you like. If you like duals coils, use them, if you like single coils use them. I think that there has to be some sort of "special" terminology given to new items to make them stand out so people think they are something different and sells them faster to all the people out there that are always searching for that "new" thing. Dont get me wrong, I am always looking for something new, just make sure you read up on the item and of course check out this site.

I use the 1.5ohm dual coils to try a liquid that I'm not sure about so I don't waste a 2ohm single coil carto heh.

I have tried the same liquid in 1.5ohm dual and 2ohm single coil carto's and every time the 2ohm single vapes better to me. I get similar amount of vapor but the single seems to give more flavor and is more consistent from puff to puff. Maybe at higher voltage it would be different but at the 4.2-3.7v range it's single all the way. Just my experience, YMMV :)

I would like to try a horizontal coil carto in a tank and see how that compares however, seems to me that a horizontal coil carto should last longer in a tank then vertical coil if you vape a light liquid. Getting 20-30ml's per carto using vertical coil so I can't complain really :)
