So, I purchased a Smoke Tek Dual Coil Cartomizer tank from madvapes recently. I originally got a dual coil with one hole in it, I could not stand it, it didn't wick well or anything. I then ordered one with the new three hole design, well that worked well for a little while and then it flooded constantly. Too many holes I think...

So, not sure if anyone has done this yet or not, but I went ahead and decided I was going to use this tank with some of my 2.0 ohm stainless boge cartos that I get from madvapes. I realized the tank was too long for a single coil so what i did was used my dremmel and cut down the plastic tank so that with both endcaps back in place, it was short enough to use the single coils.

I was unsure if this was going to work well, and it did! It is a cheaper alternative to buying a liquinator or a j tank! I just have to slot my cartos, or punch if you prefer, which a lot of us are doing already.

It has been vaping pleasure with a tank that I didn't really like much at first. Works great for me, in my opinion I'm just not a big fan of the dual coils like I like the single coils.

Well, let me know if someone has already done this, I love it so far.:vapor:

Boge now has a xxl carto long enough to fit in the dctanks. Ccv is selling them in 3ohm. They're out of stock right now. Andrew said he's trying to get some xxl 2ohm cartos. (But he thinks the resurrectors work better) they are awesome in a tank with one (large) punched hole. Ive only tried a dc carto in a tank once and it kept flooding and I didn't like using the shorter boges in my shorter diy tanks (too much refilling) so I'm thrilled that he's selling the longer Boge cartos now!
