Quick question to all you kabuki users, I have been using mine for 3 weeks now, and think I need to order coils soon. 1.6 or 1.8? Really liking this tank.

Hey gnees. I prefer the 1.8's, but that's about as personal as an issue can get. Do you like the one(s) you're using now? If so, I'd say stick with them. If you think maybe it could be a little better, try the opposite.

Glad you're liking it too. A game-changer, for sure. Especially for the YLB'ers (such as myself).

DP thanks for the info, Ordered 1.8, Why mess with perfection. I ordered 3 packs, The way this coil is working, I should be good for over a year.

VERY similar experiences here, gnees. It's easily as good as I had expected, and I think even a bit more. ENJOY!

I'm a sucker for MADE IN U.S.A. and American customer service.

Yeah, me too... I feel our service is second to none. Our mail comes in by 9:00 AM and our policy is that your unit is repaired (or outright replaced) the same day, and we drop them off at the Post Office the same day... under 24 hour service. We COULD wait until the post office delivers the next day for the pickup, but that keeps it out of the customers hands for an extra day, and I don't mind going the extra mile to get it back as fast as possible. Many people have been surprised when they send a product in on Monday, and have it back by the weekend.

I think the Kabuki comes with the 1.6, which bump up to about 1.8ohm after a little use.

I use the 1.8ohm, which bump to about 2ohm after a while, but I don't really have much of a preference.

1.6, 1.8, or 2.0 ohms

Really matters not to an adjustable mod.

But those variations can cause a swing of up to 3 watts for a mech mod.

IMO, Jim

I had that exact same thought. Turn it up (down). Slightly better battery life with the 1.8 swings the deal for me (relatively insignificant).

The next thing to consider is the different effects/wear on the various coil resistances.

Would a higher resistance or a lower resistance coil last longer?!?

I do not know.

Jim

I don't know either, but you're making my head hurt.

The above is all true. I sent my 510 Kabuki in Tuesdays mail. This afternoon (Saturday) in California I received a complete brand new unit which was sent out the same day they received mine.

Extremely pleased. Great job Zen. Would not hesitate to recommend your products and services to anyone.

The 1.8Ω coils last me the longest, because they work better for me when re-purposed into Kanger PT2 heads. I only get 10-20mls through a Nauti coil before they are done for me, then I dissect them and uncoil and recoil the wire to rebuild Kanger heads with...Those can be re-wicked and cleaned and last a very long time.

The minute they come out with a rebuildable Nautilus coil, like the Anyvape Segatank rebuildable coil that works for the Atlantis...well, I'll be sold for sure.
If I could get a 1.3ohm coil, with guaranteed Japanese organic cotton in it, and put that in a head/deck that fits my Kabuki? Oh man...what a sweet ride that would be. 10 watts on my P3, and I'll vape it til the cows come home!

MOO.

Hi honey(s). I'm home. ;)

Where ya been, HB of the corpse?
I've been around.
I won't visit any threads with the name "Provari" "Provape" or "P3" in the title or subject any longer...
The clone worshipping, flame-war instigating, post-reporting folks have found their way into those threads, and have decided to wreak havoc...including reporting me for a "racist" post, which was INSANELY UN-RACIST...
So I pop into some off-the-beaten-path threads like this one, every once in a while.
