Hi There!
I've only had my MBV Kabuki tank for a few weeks and I already managed to break the glass.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement in Canada?

Shipping costs are so high from the U.S.

Thanks!!

Sorry to hear that, Housedag. I'd probably begin by checking with House of Hybrids to see if they know of distributors local to you.

Have you checked both their Accessories sire and Phiniac? Both offer reasonable rates to the US, but I can't speak of shipments to Canada. It might be worth inquiring though.

HoH lists one dealer in Canada:

Vapor Jedi
1B, 1540 Alberta Ave
Saskatoon, SK S7K 7C9

(306) 244-3036

But you might be able to buy new glass from a Canadian ProVari dealer if they still have ZAP glass in stock.

No idea. Maybe Zen will chime in...

Here I am... chiming... The Kabuki tank was designed to be used with BOTH the BDC and the BVC... new and old style. I had all of the coils available for size testing.

I am sure you guys are tired of hearing about the flooding. But I love the Kabuki and want to find a solution. I tried all the suggestions nothing worked. I just changed the coil today in the P3 Kabuki filled 2 times so far no flooding. I am guessing its either a bad batch of coils i got. What makes me a little upset is the coil wasn't ready to be changed it didn't taste bad. I ordered a couple of 1.5 ohm coils from Cisco to try. I don't get how there not disposable. Coils eventually wear out. I have tried rebuilding the nautlius bvc coils but it didn't work. I am worried when they stop making them so I'd like to learn.

Flooding is usually caused by having the airflow screw in too far on really thin liquid... OR...
Failing to hold it upside down while closing the tank after filling... OR...
Voltage too low to completely atomize the liquid being pulled in... OR...
A coil that has become saturated
To clear the flood, turn the unit upside down, put a paper towel over the air hole and blow... UPSIDE down is important... if you blow when it's upright it will flood worse, because it will uptake more liquid.

I'd like to use the ceramic wicks in the Z attys, but I always break them.

And those little suckers are, if not expensive, not cheap.

On the house of hybrids website, there are ceramic wicks for a fraction of the old price, I'm pretty heavily overstocked until the temp-control folks figure out how well nickel works with them in gennies... (disclaimer, I have no clue if nickel will kill you, Brandon Ward says it won't)

ANY Canadian ProVape dealer can get the glass from ProVape directly... and the Kabuki 510 will be going into mass distribution in Canada soon through a big distributor up there...

My order came from HoH today. Order placed The Sixth, shipped in a little over an hour. I mention this because vaping can be time sensitive: not for me personally. I've got back ups for my back ups, always keep my reference vape going, even if trying something new, started trying to quit smoking through vaping in 2010, made it stick in 2012, learned that lesson along the way, but it is important that companies remember that there is always the chance that a timely delivered order could make the difference for someone.

A big Thank You to Zen/HoH and ProVape for keeping that in mind.

Ordered some bits and bobs for the Kubuki tanks. Couldn't let that MFA or the ZAU just sit there, so... This MFA is pretty cool. Hardcore old school HoH gear.

Anyway, one last thing.

Zen has an entry on his blog on 2014 and the state of vaping at the moment.

I think it is spot on and worth a link, so here you go:

The title is Looking Back to Move Forward.

All the more spot on because it is from last December.

Well, if those ceramics are cheaper, maybe I will stock up and see if I can get one in there without breaking the dad gum thing.

Any tips?
Twist them slightly when inserting them, and don't yank the kanthal when coiling them. Be careful when you take the topcap off... that's about it.

I tried pulling the pin. It helped a little but it didn't fix it. So i moved that coil from the P3 Kabuki to 510 version. I vaped a whole tank no problems. I hope I don't have any problems tomorrow. I am going to see if Provape can replace the P3 version. I hope that works out. I have already had to send back the 510 version once cause it came with a stripped delrin insulator. Luck of the draw I guess. I vape at 6 watts and use 50/50 juice the air is prob 1 or 2 notches from being wide open on both versions i have. I am still loving my Kabuki though.

Send it direct to HoH for replacement, saves time and money in shipping.

I was just talking to a friend of mine today on the phone about the sad state of patient service in the medical profession. He went to say that's the way it is in every business, even American ones these daze. They just want to take your money and :censored: ya. Blame it on someone else. I told him, "Yeah, well thank God for companies like Provape and Zippo!" He said, "Yeah, there's still a few of them out there but not very many..." I then proceeded to tell him about a company out of New York called, "House Of Hybrids" and the Kabuki. :thumb:

Great to see you here, Zen of HoH!

This 'ole vaper is very pleased with her Kabuki!

Glad you like it! I've been vaping Kabuki since the first prototype made last September, so we're coming up on a year... It has become my all day, every day, no exceptions vape. I'm partial to it! And even though I'm a manufacturer of a full range of vaping hardware, I'm up to about 90% of the time vaping a Kabuki on a ProVari. I LOVE 18350 sized regulated mods.

ENAUD...
All others interested in "Coil-gate"...
My previous findings of the Kabuki P3 making contact with only ONE of my P3's...well they've been disproven.
Upon finding a very tasty and spot-on lemonade flavor (Midas - Pink Lemonade), I decided it would perform best in my newest tank (Kabuki P3)...so I cleaned her out, and washed out the coil. This is a coil I pulled out of a foil pack, from my most recent order from MFS, and is a "new style" with cotton and large holes.
This is the same coil that would not make contact with one of my P3's...well I read the post (forgot the poster) about making sure to firmly seat the coil...so I grabbed a rubber band, and FIRMLY installed the coil. I then installed the base/coil assembly on the P3 it wouldn't fire on before...and voila. She le fires.
Now, I'm no rookie vaper. I've been at this for nearly 5 years now. Started on bridge atomizer cartos back in late 2010...I've seen things come to pass that I had only wished for. First it was a move to the classic carto, which carried me for a long time. I saw the birth of the Provari before I knew it would become my life. When tanked cartos were the new thing, my jaw hit the floor. No more dripping into my carto?!? Heaven!!!
Fast forward (because otherwise I'll ramble more than I have) I became a Kayfun guy. The Nautilus found its way into my home, and eventually a P3 version. As I write this, I have an Atlantis rebuild to finish...but I paused to tell you that if you've had issues with your coils not firing on your P3 Kabuki, try seating that coil ALL THE WAY down. Make sure the little clear-ish O-ring is lubed, and seat that puppy!
I'm very sure that 99% of you are skilled enough to have already checked this, but for that 1% (who consist of those who honestly didn't check, and those who haven't been on this thread all along) this solution actually worked for me!
Cheers! [emoji482]

You and me both, brother! Once the P3 entered my life, I was finally able to get the life from an 18350 that I wanted! I've never looked back! I'd rather carry an extra pair of batteries than hold a longer/larger mod!

Coil gate? Seriously? We've shipped a LOT of the tanks and have had less than 10 people contact with a problem and with only one exception it has been the coil has not been fully seated.

Why is this "Coil Gate"? HoH stands on the ready to fix, replace... whatever it takes to make it right if there's an issue.
