Take it to pm if you can't help yourselves.

Better yet, stick around and be civil why dont'cha?
Why do people think starting a thread means they own the thread?
{IMO} it just means someone started a thread & others participated- no more no less than that.

While I generally agree, a thread this detailed, deserves ownership. A badge of sorts, if you may. I would be proud if I had started this thread! So again, credit where credit is due! I am honored to post here!:toast:

Probably for the same reason people who organize/host a party feel like it's "their" party.
What they don't realize is, it's not a party until I show up.
:hahaha: :sarcasm:

That really is a million dollar question. :thumb:
This topic has a lot of layers to it, say a member posts a thread with a question, and the question gets answered, then the member asks a mod to close the thread. Well, it was their thread, the question was answered and the discussion is a moot point so the thread gets shut down. It was their thread after all, no?

Now take another thread, one that becomes very popular, lots of folks join in and the discussion goes on for weeks, months, maybe even longer. Does the OP still own the thread? Well, in a sense, I guess you could argue that they do because it was their brainchild, but what about all of the other contributors? They have invested time and effort to the discussion and now they too have a vested interest in the thread. Does the OP still "own" the thread? Or are they now the " author" of something which has taken on it's own life in a community forum?

I like to think that a heavily participated thread becomes a kind of community property, when many folks get a vested interest in the discussion, so the OP's role as author is important, but the course and direction of the thread courses where it will by the thoughts and contributions of all of the active posters.

In the same vein, if such a thread wanders off course, I don't see it as any responsibility of the OP that it does so, because the threads direction is now affected by the viewpoints and input from many different contributors perspectives.

So who does really own a thread? Maybe it depends on the circumstances and dynamics of each individual one.

If I place another mod order with ProVape in the near future and can have it shipped to me at a U.S. hotel, I will likely add one of the new end caps to try out on my P3's. I am not a fan of the stock P3 end cap/spring at all and wouldn't miss the spring stretching every time the EQ goes wonky when I try to vape near 20w.

Almost $60 shipped to Canada for one cap isn't something I am even remotely interested in perusing though. I wish more retailers would realize that shipping to Toronto is not much different than shipping to Buffalo (across the border) costwise. If it wasn't for recent business travel, I wouldn't have bought any of my 7 2.5's.

/Canadian rant. :p

I have a lifetime supply of P3 springs, so unless I end up using something other than a P3, I won't be ordering the new end cap. :tumble:

I recall you bought a ton of them. I have 5-6 extra P3 springs and even that should last me a few years.

Wow. I just realized the cheapest cap is $28! Thought they were $16.

I ain't cheap, but no way I could bring myself to hit "pay now" for one of those. Nope, nope, nope.:)

Yeah, I'm 49 with the goal of living to 95 changing springs in two P3's every six months.

Otherwise, you bet I would have bought a couple of those end caps!

Amazing weather is finally here, so I did what most people do an a beautiful Saturday morning..... Liquor store, garbage dump, butcher for some big@$$ steaks for the BBQ and my local vape shop for some 1.2ohm Triton Mini coils and my replacement glass Kabuki tank. :)

The white o-rings on the GMZ Kabuki are too big IMO, but with some patience and TLC, we finally got the glass tank to on as intended. I have refilled the tank as well, So smooth sailing so far.:thumb:

I do prefer the SS replacement tanks and the glass will likely be put away for a rainy day, but the GMZ does look killer with the white o-rings and glass tank.

I see I am not the only one that does not care for the P3 spring style. I wouldn’t mind the new Procyon cap however I don’t see this happening. My P3 is the TI finish and can’t imagine what the price will be if they ever make one. I like the short spring that my 2.5 Minis have although for the most part I am now using the extension cap which I really like — nice and easy to use.

Would like to hear your review on the Triton Mini 1.2 ohm coils with the Kabuki.

Even though there was a LOT of naysayers on the Triton coils, I picked up a 5 pack anyway. Even ZEN told me I wouldn't like them. But I seem to be one of those types that I just have to see for myself. And in this case, glad I did.

I ordered the 1.8 Clapton coils. Didn't really expect much from them. And I learned thru trial and error that they have to be run higher than the Nauti coils. But neither of the two coils can for me at least, be run at the recommended Wattage listed on the box. I run the Nauti at 8.4- 8.7, and the Triton at 9.4 to 10.8. The Triton really does come alive at 11 watts but it shortens the life by a full day or more.

With the liquid I use, (Vape Wild's "On Cloud Custard", chased with a bit of Strawberry SC-2. I tend to burn a coil up in about 4 days. Hoped the Clapton would last longer, but no, about the same.

What it did offer was a greater degree of air thru the coil, making for a somewhat easy direct lung vape. Something a little more with the Nauti coil. As I use dual coil RBA's and RTA's quite a bit, this was welcome.

The real surprise, is with this liquid combo, that flavor was both richer, full bodied, and I wasn't getting the dreaded vaper's tongue after an hour or two after getting up in the morning. The flavor of the liquid lasted all day. As I type this, I have been on this combo for 16 hours and the flavor is still outstanding. I would have to go to other devices with different liquid to get the same enjoyment of flavor with the Nauti Coils. So for me, a huge improvement for me personally.

I also followed some advice, and tried a drop of distilled water in the tank, of both the Nauti and Triton. It did help in the useable life of the coil. Also, with each tank full, I use the end of a pipe cleaner and put it thur the coil while turning in in clockwise motion. As if screwing it into the coil. This has to be continued when drawing the pipe cleaner out of the coil as well, or the coil will be damaged.
I snip the end of the pipe cleaner off, as it will now have char on it. I repeat this twice more, and one more time with the pipe cleaner soaked in my liquid. Finally, putting a few drops of the liquid on the coil, as if it is a new coil. This has given a couple of days of added use, with a much improved flavor right up to the day it turns bad.

So for me, the Triton has worked. Now I have a handful of boxes of the Nauti's, and only two Tritons left. Grrrrrr!!! Will be ordering more on the First of the Month.

No doubt the 50/50 pg/vg has a lot to do with the short life of the coils.

I have seen it written that darker liquids kill coils. Yep, seem to! Also seen it written that any sweet liquid kills them as well. My wife likes Vape Wild's Candy Cane. and it is SWEET!!! And although I havn't tried it in a Kabuki yet, the wicks in the Aromamizer last for a month with the Candy Cane. But have to be changed ever other day with my liquids. So maybe, sweet isn't the all time coil killer we all thought it was.

I loaded up a Kabuki tonight with the Candy Cane and will see how it goes. :)

Would like that my Wife loves her Kabukie, and wasn't really keen on trying the Triton coils. After trying mine, she now wants her Nauti's replaced with the Tritons First of the Month as well. Guess we'll have a few boxes of the Nauti's in reserve. Oop's

I'm wondering Knife... were you getting dry hits or otherwise hitting up against the available airflow in the Kabuki?
No dry hits, well, once when out of town, and NO replacement with us.
But I do enjoy the higher amount of airflow in the Triton. More like what I am use too.
I was worried that the looser draw would cause less wicking, and dry hits, but the dry hits I experienced when out of town were with the Nauti. So far, NO dry hits from the Triton at all. So far, So good. ;)

I will have to experiment with turning down the Dia. of the pin on the Triton so that my Wife can try them in her 510 Kabuki. Otherwise, just swapping out the pin will still hinder airflow and there isn't enough material there to bore the Nati pin out far enough to make a difference.
The inside Dia. of the Triton coil is quite a bit larger. So greater airflow.
