To be honest.....I dont think the Cerakote was applied correctly. I have had rifle suppressors and knife blades coated never seen it peel off like that.... I have seen it chip on corners but never like what is shown on your Kabuki.
I am not aware of how it is applied...

But, I did do a lil search and it said no boiling.

I feel like I lucked out, this time.

For me as well, Turfy! Nope, not another Kabuke, nor a Radi, but a mod that was ordered nearly FOUR months ago, and one that traveled some 25,664 miles. I wonder if I can get some frequent mod miles for it......

And now my Kabukii both have pretty bottoms* holding them. :D

*this post is DPL approved, ,,, oh, and Turfy approved, and

That's what I call "portable". :facepalm::D:toast:

Did you boil them?

When the problem popped up I contacted my CeraKote vendor, told him what happened... he said ... "no boiling, no ultrasonic"...

The first one happened a couple weeks ago, then no other reports... then the AstroTurf incident, and I had honestly meant to issue a warning, and forgot.

Opening up the air flow helps with the flavor. It is growing on me. Still trying to get the air ratio nailed down. Much easier to play with on the Kabuki. Don't have to take the tank off the ProVari. ;)

How much is this supposed to hold? Anyone know? Compared to the KFL+?

IIRC, the KFL+ holds about 4 - 4.5ml. The Kabuki is around 2.5-3 I think.

The Prototype Nauti Buddy - This thing worked the first time. I used it to chase the threads by lightly twisting it back and forth over the threads of the coil until I didn't feel any grit. Then I installed it in the Kabuki on the ZNA. All I have to do is make sure the thing is threaded into the base correctly, and the top threads down like butter. Awesome!!!!

Thank god! I thought I was going through a boat load of liquid just playing around with it. If it had been the same .... I was gonna be worried.

The suppressors are not something I would boil....ultra sonic cleaning I do know is a no no. I have used my knives with boiling water to clean them and never had an issue.

What about shooting/stabbing ultra sonic cleaners? That's still acceptable, right?

About 2.5-3ml.

The Nautilus coils take about 24hrs to hit their stride.

I have been using the Kabuki for 3 days- I know I have finally found the perfect atty!! For me he eternal search for the atty that 'had it all' was the frustrating part of vaping. The Provari for me was the ideal device, but the atty was always lacking something. I have tried so many and each time there was an 'if only'--I didn't have to build --there was more flavor with this one--there was consistency... and on an on.

I am confident the search is over! I love the Kabuki and for me it does everything I always wanted in an atty and MORE! The more being the fact that I don't need to 'build' anything and make sure 'just the right amount of cotton' is in the right place to have great flavor and vapor. I can leave the house and all is well without an extra 'bag' of stuff! Traveling now will be a breeze!!

When Provape finally ships the Radius--it sounds like battery life won't be such an issue any more!

I just wanted to say a big Thank You to all who posted great information and answered important questions for those of us who had been a little out of touch on 'what was new and great'!!

I have 2 now and 4 more on the way!! Stocking up on coils and I now I can clean out the vaping drawer and simplify---

Ahhhh--life is good... :hubba: :hubba: :hubba:

Hang onto your rebuildables just in case.

You never know what the FDA is going to do.
