Here's a size comparison may be interesting to some. The liquid volume is similar to the two caged Nautili, but the device is significantly smaller. This is the 510 version, but from what I can see the P3 version is the same height.

Nice pic, Thanks

And oh let me guess...

No chrome plated brass chimney either.

Thumbs Up

Thank you for the size comparo pics, I am really liking that it is shorter than the cage. It should look great in mini mode!

Hey HB, I am wondering how your Kabuki is working out for you? Any comment?
It's working great! I mean, I made the mistake of loading it up with a juice I'm not the biggest fan of, but functionally it's fine.
I've been following your miserable expertise with it, and I'm curious to see if any of my "old-style" Nautilus coils will perform like yours are...
I'm also struggling to find where the "new style" coils are sold. Any leads? I can't find these new ones. Also, are they cotton? Or are they bundles of mystery material too?
And when the F is someone gonna make a rebuildable Nautilus deck? If Kraptastic Kanger can make one for the Sub-Ohm tank, surely Aspire can make one. I've got the AnyVape Sega-tank rebuildable deck for my Atlantis, but I'd like one for the Nautilus!

I'm always that lucky guy. I found some of the new ones locally at a B&M and they state ( let the tank stand for two minutes, so the cotton can be saturated with juice before firing) on the little enclosed leaflet. take that for what it's worth. Yeah, I've been left feeling a little cold with this experience, batting two misses and a hit for coils that make contact. The coil that came with mine worked fine, though after all, it was tested before the unit shipped. Two for two random coils from my stash didn't make contact. I don't have much faith that many of my other coils on hand can be trusted at this point without modification, which isn't exactly what I had anticipated buying a high end plug & play tank system. Yes, I am p&$$#) off!

I've got a feeling that the bleep-holes at Aspire have redesigned the physical specs of the "new style" coils, in some way...making the design of the Kabuki locked to this design.
You and I have both had success with the coil that came with the device...which means we can only say for certain that our two (included) coils worked.
Now, if I can find some of these same "new" style coils, I'll give it a shot. I'm assuming the coils I already own ("old style"), won't work, based on your experience. However, having seen people with plenty of bad experiences with the Aspire P3 Nautilus tank, I'm guessing the issue lies with Aspire.
House of Hybrids has a huge reputation, as does Provape...obviously. Not to mention, it has to be assumed that the P3's are all to the same specs. Zen has had plenty of time to create a great tank, with good specs across the board as well, being that the Nautilus and P3 have been out for quite some time.
HoH isn't a mass produced Chinese product like Aspire...so, if the beer in my system will allow me to repeat my point, I'll say the issue exists between the two versions of the Nautilus coils.

I will agree on this point, however...I am pretty sure that there are a lot of the old coils out there on the market, or in peoples hands. Or maybe just maybe I have a bunch of coils from a particular batch, that are just shy of making contact, as I said, in the P3 thread, I pulled the pin, placed two wraps of thread around post and it works.

Counter sink the coil another .020"-.030" deeper into the base, and the connectivity issue should be solved. That should leave plenty of margin for the available cushion of the coil grommet and P3 pin to absorb...:2c:

Yeah but you shouldn't have to do that.
I Google searches for places to buy those new style coils, and I came across a stray ECF post from a user who had purchased a starter kit from some no-name website...which included a 5pk of the new coils...this person posted a side by side of the two coils, and to my naked eye, looking at their bad picture, I'd say there's something different between the two generations of coil.
Just my thoughts, until I am willing to take my Kabuki coil out and compare it to the ones I bought for my P3 Nautilus...

Sweet vapes also have the cotton coils, specifically advertise them as such.

I've used old coils, vaporshark tsc coils, new cotton coils, in all the nautili and silo. I've used the cotton and the tsc in the kabuki. No connection problem ever.

I think the only difference is filler and hole size.

I am having trouble with both coils I've used in my kabuki sticking on the chimney when I unscrew. I put it on real gentle this last time. If it sticks again I'm going to try and clean the threads as they don't seem as smooth as my Nautili.

Here's the fix that's been posted for the 510 version for that problem. The last line might apply with the P3 threaded one.

Loosen your 510 set screw on the tank and back it out but not the whole way, then screw the BVC coil into the base all the way snug. After that snug your 510 set screw in against the coil. That will insure you have a seal at the base of the coil.

The coil being stuck in the chimney means you didnt have it tight enough in the base;)

What gin said about loosening the set screw, etc., etc. worked for me. The coils getting stuck in the chimney was one of the aggravations I had as well (I use the 510 version). I was told not to tighten the bottom cap so tight. This has worked for me and even though I do not fully tighten the bottom cap, it does not leak cause the o-rings are inside the glass tank. The other benefit for me is that it is much easier to remove the bottom cap. Prior to this I had tightened the bottom cap so tight that I could not unscrew it without working up a sweat .

I ordered the new aspire nautilus coils from world of vape.

I have been getting coils stuck on my chimney a lot, but I think the problem is Aspires threading. What I have noticed on my Z2carto upgrade kit that uses a separate chimney not all the coils have nice threading and I couldn't screw the chimney on. I would set those coils a side to use in my nautilus tanks. My chimney threading on my nautilus tanks looks horrid but those rough threaded coils I set aside work just fine.

If you wear your threads out on your aspire tanks your S.O.L. You will have to buy a new one.....with the Kabuki you have a warranty and House of Hybrids will take good care of you. I don't think anybody will be wearing out threads on a Kabuki anytime soon :)
