Re: 510 to P3 adapter
Works with P3 Kabuki on Jackie's V2 Mini but OPEN connection when adding Beauty Ring

In other words, the 510 to P3 adapter doesn't work with Beauty Ring
This seemed like it would be an issue for me as well, had the gap after screwing adapter to Kabuki and then onto the Provari. Just screwing the adapter onto the Provari first, then screwing the tank on, solved the issue. No gaps anywhere. This is using a kayfun ring and the one from Provape.

One of my Kabukis is making me scratch my head. I first noticed the problem when trying to put it back on the P3 after a fill. Note that this wasn't a particularly new tank and had numerous fills.

Anyhow, the tank wouldn't screw on. I took a closer look and saw the the small allen screw in the center of the 510 was sticking out a bunch - I mean a bunch. I didn't have to use an allen wrench to screw it back in since I could catch it with my fingernails in order to turn it.

It's done this every time since. I'm not concerned as I am mystified. I've never had a center pin unscrew on any other mod or tank before now. I can't visualize what is happening.

While we're on the subject, could someone spell out the recommended procedure for setting the set screw length in the first place? I understand it need to make contact with both the coil and the mod but I've never heard of the correct procedure.

Gun Metal Kabuki is back up on the ProVape site.:)
Would someone remind me: is the Zencote on the gunmetal P3 different from the ceramic on the gunmetal Kabuki? I vaguely remember that it is, or I'm thinking of something else.
I'm really liking my gunmetal P3!

GREAT searching skills, AstroTurf. That was very helpful.

NY, I believe that GM Zenkote is GM Zenkote, no matter to what it's bonded. The base metal does affect the end visual result, but they should be fairly close.

GMZ on GMZ on GMZ. ;)

The biggest difference I see on mine is that the GMZ P3 is very smooth and kinda shiny while the GMZ Kabuki has a brushed steel look to it. From a distance they are hard to distinguish but up close or under light it is more noticeable. I still think it looks nice though. The shading is not different at all.

Got a pack of Triton mini Clapton coils delivered today. So far, not very impressed but will give them a few days. I typically run my bvc coils around 8.6w but these needed a bit more. Couldn't go any higher than 11w or it just got too hot for my taste. Flavor isn't as good as my bvc coils, hopefully they just need a break-in period.

I talked to Mike, (Zen) just a few minutes ago, and the Triton M, coils came up. He said he didn't like them at all. Flavor was just not good for him. Of course taste is different for everyone, so will be watching to see how you get on with them.

Zen said he is really missing the Forum, but is working Night and Day on projects, and the rebuild of show room after the flooding.

Sure looking forward to seeing him back in the swing of things soon!;)

I should have never wandered in here but like a moth to a flame...my debit card can almost feel it. So now I need a Kabuke. Where to buy a 510 threaded one? I don't want to limit myself to the P3 ones at this point. Think I will be buying a Radius soon too however...like maybe tonight after cleaning up after this nice 9+ inches of snow we just got! My first vapeaversarry is almost here. Close enough.

Save yourself the trouble...get P3 threaded Kabukis, and grab the P3-510 adapter Zen made.
That way, your P3 Kabukis will work on ANY device that has P3 or 510 threading!

I have to second that! The p3 connection is a huge step forward. I read of the various problems people were having with the 510 version and ended up ordering two p3 provaris and a couple of p3 Kabukis. I've dropped mine on the boat a few times and no damage at all, not even glass breaking. It's a rock solid connection.

I just tested the new HOH connector with various mods. The only time it didn't connect was with a ProVi or Greek Modders beauty ring on provi mini and standard. Using Kayfun ring and a couple other rings, it was fine. It also connected appropriately with several other mod brands/models. Of course, I've had connection problems with those rings before with other attys, so i just might have lower pins on my ProVi's than some.

For those concerned about gaps, the worse gap was paper thin, only visible when carefully held up to light. Like always, YMMV as mod specs vary, frequently with pin depth, I do believe.

So...I got carried away in conversation last night with my son and accidentally tossed my 2.5 Ti with Kabuki about four feet landing on porcelain tile (don't ask) lol. No damage at all to either except a broken tank. Thank goodness I had a few replacements in my stash.

Don't ask? I have ta!!

How did you "ACCIDENTALLY" toss your Ti and Kabuke??

And Mike, I agree with HB. Were I in the market for another Kabuki now, I'd opt for the P3 threaded and I'd buy the Zendapter. It's pretty much the best of both worlds. :)

When I remove the glass from the top section, here's my method.
Screw an old Nauti coil into the chimney. Take a paper towel and fold it up a bunch of times as a cushion. Place the pin of the Nauti coil onto the paper towel and grasp the glass with both index fingers and thumbs, you will have four contact points, and press down on the glass with both hands, firmly and smoothly, but anticipating the glass to move downwards. Once the glass starts to move you will feel it, and just press till it clears the O-rings. I've taken them apart a bunch of times like this and never busted a tank...

Hey Enaud, I'm about ready to try this method as soon as there is no more of the present flavor left and I can't wait.

Do you have any wizardry way of putting the tank BACK ON the top cap as that is how I shattered the last one.

Thanks and anyone is more than welcomed to chime it...
